Andre POV
I woke up to the sun shining through my window. I smiled thinking about Tiffany. It was good seeing her after not being able to for about a whole month.
I know she was wondering why it was taking me so long to come here but when I told that I was attending NYU I wasn't exactly committed. That's why it took me a while to come, I had to transfer and they said it would only take a few days but days turned into to weeks and weeks turn into a month.
I flushed the toilet after letting out my morning fluids. I washed my hands then went into the kitchen to fix me something to eat.
I walked in there to see Troy talking on the phone. When he looked up he nodded at me and I did the same. He told the person he would talk to them later before finishing up his call.
"Wassup man." He said getting out a bowl and a box of cereal.
"Wassup."
"So you gon get everything situated for your classes and shit? If you want I could show you where to get your books and all that other stuff."
"Yeah man. Thanks bruh."
"Aye that's what roommates are for. Im about to shower and get dress just let me know when you ready and we could go."
"Alright."
Even though we wasn't really communicating alot at first, I thought it was real dope of him to take time out his day and help me get around.
Later that day
"Yeah man so if you need to exchange just remeber it's past the barns and nobles on main."
"Alright."
I just got through with buying my books for my classes and now I was getting a tour from Troy on our way back to the dorm.
"So do you think you like it around here yet?"
"I mean I got to get a little more of a feel towards it and then I could tell if Im down with it. But all I know for sure is that my girl likes it."
"Oh you mean the shorty who you had at the crib last night."
I looked over to see him smirking at me before answering. "Yeah her."
"Oh okay. So how long the two of yall been together?"
"About nine months or so."
"She got any sisters or anything you could hook a brother up with."
I laughed at his comment shaking my head.
"Nah she the only child."
"Oh okay so that mean Ima just have to steal her from you then."
"Now that's not gonna happen."
We both laughed but then stopped when we heard some short dark skin girl calling Troy's name and running over to us.
"Hey Troy. I wanted to invite you to our party that we are throwing tonight, and maybe you could bring your cute friend."
"Um well he just got here yesterday and Im not sure if he would wanna come but you know Im down with it."
She smiled looking over towards me before asking me.
"Aw come on..." She trailed waiting for my name to be said.
"Andre."
"Andre, would you like to come to my party?"
"Uh sure."
