Tiffany POV
Jumping up out of my sleep, I woke up to find Andre sitting in the chair next to my bed holding Kyren. I let out a deep breath and laying back down. Every since I've been home I've been waking up out of my sleep by the littlest noises. Every little peep or cry he would make I'd be right on it. Not that it was a bad thing or anything but it was causing me to loose sleep but it was okay because it was for my son.
"You could go back to bed. I got him." Andre said as he got up to make his bottle.
I looked over at the clock as it read 4:33 a.m.
"Thank you." I turned over and laid back to the position I was in but couldn't fall back asleep. Since coming home me and Andre hardly made any communication outside of the baby. Anything we said to each other was either something like, 'hey I got him this time' or 'go back to sleep, I'll take care of it'.
Did I felt some type of way about it. No, not really but I knew that there was some place in my heart that I knew felt sad about it. I wanted to talk to him and ask him why did he leaved the way he did and what took him so long to come back but I let it be and so did him.
I could hear his footsteps coming around to my side. I saw him bend over to get the milk and when he did his eyes travel to mine. When he did I tried my best to hurry and close mine but I guess it was too late. I heard him chuckle.
"I know you not sleep baby girl."
"And how would you know that." I said lowly with my eyes still close.
"Well one because you're not snoring how you was before you just woke up."
I opened my eyes just to roll them and turn the other way.
I heard him sighed before I felt the bed dip next to me.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing." I mumbled.
"Why you not talking to me?"
"It takes two to converse Dre."
"So you're saying it's me who's not trying to talk."
"Talk about what?" My voice rose a little.
Before he could respond Kyren started whining again. I jumped up going to pick him up from his crib but was beaten by Andre.
"I said I got him now go back to sleep."
I sucked my teeth. "He's my son too so give him here."
I tried reaching for him but he pulled away. "Stop Tiffany."
"No you stop." I went for him the second time finally succeeding.
I grabbed the bottle from his hand and went to make him his milk. For some reason out of all time he just kept crying and wouldn't stop. I knew that he had to be hungry again because it was his time to eat but for some reason that wasn't just it. He was whining and crying like he was in discomfort and it was making me upset that I couldn't do anything.
I guess Dre got tired of watching us because he soon took Kyren out of my arms and took the bottle to start feeding him. Kyren's crying soothed down as he drank the milk.
So he wanted his father instead of me, I thought.
I admit that a bit of jealousy ran through my body as I watched him feed him and smiled kissing his head. Not being able to stand there anymore I went into my bathroom closing the door and locking it behind me. I felt my eyes get a sting feel so I knew at some point the tears was going to come.
"Not today Tiff. Not today." I kept mumbling those words to myself until that feeling went away.
After twenty minutes when I came out the bathroom I saw Kyren fast asleep in his crib. I pulled the blanket out that was in there with him and turned up the heat a little. I cut on the night light leaving out into the living room to see Andre laying on his back with his arm over his eyes like he was trying to block out something.
