Tiffany POV" What do you want Kai." I asked rolling my eyes
"Wow, I'm surprised that you called back. How have you been?" She was trying to make short talk instead of getting straight to the point. Something she always did.
"Good, now is there a reason why your calling me?"
"Well I'm in New York." She spoke getting my attention.
"Okay why are you telling me this."
"I was hoping we can meet up, please?"
I sighed." How did you even know I was in New York anyways?"
"C'mon Tiff I'm your best- I mean was, I was your best friend and you always told me that you were going to NYU."
I nodded my head as if she could see me.
"So why do you want to see me again?"
"Can we meet somewhere. I mean I would really like to see you. Whenever you're free of course."
" You still didn't tell me-"
"Please Tiffany?" She cut me off.
I blew out air giving in. "Listen I have class in a few but after that I'll text you where we can meet at."
"Thank you so much."
"Yeah, bye." I hung up shaking my head.
I wonder what she got for me now.
********************************************************************
The bell rung dismissing the students. Nearly everyone was out of the class before I even got the chance to stand up. I looked at my phone and saw it was 3:34. It also reminded me that I was supposed to be meeting up with Kai. I text her to let her know that I was out.
" Kai I'm out of class now. Do you still want to meet up?"
Two minutes past before she replied back.
"Yeah I'm at the campus Olive Garden. See ya here."
I didn't reply back. I got on the school shuttle and waited until they got close to Olive Garden. After the ride I got off and made my way inside. I looked around to see if I could find her until I heard my name.
I look to my left and saw her. She looked so different. She was much skinnier than before and her hair was dyed a burgundy color. I would have noticed her if she didn't have seen me.
"Hey Tiffany." She had a big smile on her face like she was happy to see me. Like she didn't did what she had done to me in the past.
"Hey." I faked half smiled. She put her arms out and tried to hug me but I looked away.
"Too soon?"
"Yeah."
She sat in the booth and I followed. We were both quiet and didn't really make eye contact with each other until a while later. The waitress came over and asked for our order. After that she finally spoke.
"So how have you been."
"Good,you?"
"I'm wonderful. You know I've been taking a little classes here and there back at home myself."
"Really. How's that working out for you?" I sipped my lemonade that was brought to me a minute ago.
"Great. I'm gonna be working in the medical field. I like it."
