"Max, stop," said Rose as Max was kissing her neck in the cabin, and they were alone. Jade walked in on them.

"Oops, sorry." She didn't sound sincere. He stopped and she flipped her hair to the side.

"What is it?" She asked.

"General wants to see us outside."

Rose lined up with all the other girls.

"In two years half of you will become generals; you're already 13," she said. "But we have a problem, the enemy army has threatened to storm the camp, and we have to defend it, or we'll be all kill or captured.
"Now. I know some of you are looking very scared, we have this under control. Just be ready to see Goldenpack sooner than you think."

She walked away leaving everyone in a panic.

"I don't wanna die," said one girl

"I wanna be a general!" Cried another.

Rose calmed them down. "Guys! Just except the fact that you're gonna see the glorious Whitestar in Goldenpack, but that doesn't mean we have to run away from it. I think we should fight as the great soldiers we are. Who's with me?"

Max walked up to her and held her hand. "I am."
Some girls were murmuring among themselves.

"I am," said Jade.

"I am," said Hannah.

"I am," said Fiona.

"I so am," said Gizzy.

"I am." Rose turned around and to her surprise saw General Legon respond. She went up to her and smiled. "That's the kind of leadership meets the general criteria." She took out her sword and rose it up in the air.
"Now let's fight."

The army confidently marched towards the advancing enemy army. The other side had already begun aiming their weapons at them. Some girls were starting to slowly retreat.

"Whatever you do, don't retreat," said the general. She rose her sword up and brung it down.

"FIGHT!"

One by one lines of soldiers from each side began colliding with each other. Blood was spilled in every direction, and Rose was tackled by a soldier. He looked to be 16 and afraid.

"I let you go," he said before running away from all the chaos.
She saw Max just slaughtering men as he fought. Then a soldier kicked him down from behind.

"I got you now," he said in Russian. Max weakly looked at the guy and closed his eyes excepting his death.

"No!" Rose screamed as she ran towards them. She knocked the man off of Max, but the guy shot her right in the stomach. All she heard was "Rose, Rose, Rose...."
