Weaving together the final daisy of the crown, I slipped a smile in awe of my creation.
I had devoted my whole morning to perfecting several ways of creating daisy chains, which meant that many online tutorials later, I was left, at that point, surrounded in countless different rings of flowers. Some had ventured out, including different species of flower within the daisies while most stuck to the standard, one type. The crowns made earlier in the day were only just beginning to wilt but it didn't overly bother me because the one I favoured had only just been completed.Placing one on my head, I looped my arm through the remainder of them. I leapt up and began making my way back towards the tower, soaking in all the morning sun I could of my time left outside.
My final moments of peace, however, were ruined by the familiar sound of the bifrost. Though the sky was still light, the bifrost remained visible, lighting up a bright streak straight through the spring air. A booming whoosh of air and the recognisable metallic noise sounded clearly. The streak of light was lost behind the height of the tower, ensuring me the intricate ruins would undoubtedly be mentioned by Stark on the north side of the tower. At the sight of the bifrost, my excitement overtook me and my legs hastily carried me, from the south side, into the lobby, still with a careful grip on the daisy chain crowns.
"Hey, Chirpy"
I heard Happy call, using a proud nickname he had thought up for me, as I ran through Stark Tower's lobby, the locked doors in my path opening, credit to FRIDAY's body recognition.
"Hey, Haps" I used, in an attempt to annoy him, though he seemed to brush it off.I made my way up countless flights of stairs, after deciding it would take too long to wait for the lift to descend to my level, until I got to the communal lounge, my first guess where I'd find the team. Luckily for me, I was correct. They were all surrounding the towering, blonde god as he tried to all calm them down.
My eyes furrowed and my chest was heaving up and down in my shortness for breath.Thor's eyes were darting around the room in a panic until they landed on me.
"MY FAVOURITE MIDGARDIAN", he boomed. This seemed to quieten the rest of the rowdy team as they turned their heads in my direction. Large grins spread across both of our faces and I ran towards him. He engulfed me in his arms as my head pressed against his firm chest. His whole form rumbled as he laughed at my excitement. After a couple moments, we pulled apart and my attention came back to the rest of the group, who had been watching our interaction.
"Why so glum?", I questioned after noticing the stern looks on their faces."Point Break here brought us a friend." Tony said in an overly monotone voice. Confused, I turned back around to face Thor. He grabbed a hold of something behind him and began manoeuvring it beside him.
I looked over to find a dark, wavy haired man with his head tilted just slightly to the ground. I would've been mad not to know who he was but I held no resentment towards him.
He was marginally shorter than Thor, only an inch or two in it. His face held a displeased look and his misty eyes were looking down at me, a picture of uncertainty but a clear attempt to guard his emotion could also be seen; his complexion was sharp and defined, much like his whole figure. He had a rather slim build though still well built.I guessed the others had recognised him as the man that attempted to take over New York but I regarded him as a man who could do with a second chance.
I smiled up at him and held my arm out so I could choose my favourite daisy crown. I slipped it off and offered it to him in my free hand.
"Daisy crown?"When he didn't lay hold of my offer after a few moments, I strained it around my fingers and placed it on his head. At this, there was no way to describe his face but as a display of confusion.
