I didn't talk to Emily in my first period. I was too afraid to bother her further. She was wrapped up in conversation with the person next to her anyways. I shouldn't have dressed the way I did today, it made me feel further ridiculed from before.
I looked up to loner boy against the back wall, hoping he'd come insult me again. At least I knew that he hated me. The anxiety of not knowing how Emily and Lia felt for sure made me feel even worse. It seemed he had gotten much farther in his book then yesterday. Whatever part he was on was well intense, his face showed it too. Rather strained.
I took out my belongings, arranging them across my desk and begin to take note of today's lesson.
Abruptly came the bell interrupting my calm enjoyment of simple note-taking. My desk was cluttered, filled with sticky notes, pens, erasers, a pencil sharpener and a dumped out pencil bag. Students filed out as I messily dumped things back into my bag. Accidentally; I hit a pencil across the room and it hit the wall opposite me. With a sigh I stood up and walked over to get it. When I turned back around, suddenly standing in front of me was Edge. Towering over me. Why is everyone here so goddamn tall. He pressed a hand on the wall behind me, staring intensely into my eyes.
"What the hell happened to you?" He growled "you were so cheeky yesterday, now..." he ran a hand down my cheek "your mascara is running and you're covered in bandaids."
I gasped. I wanted to shrivel up and disappear. I didn't think anyone would notice, and had hoped I'd be right.
"I- um... I tripped down some stairs last night. I'm fine, really." I cracked a shaky smile.
Edge pulled my arm to him tracing the bandaids with his finger. His breath hot against my bare skin. My insides tumbled around trying to contain my nerves. He stood back and sat on one of the desks.
"I'm sorry for pinning you back, I wanted to make sure you were okay."
"I barely know you and suddenly you're worried? Who's the creep now?" I sneered.
"Shit..." was his only response as he looked off at the floor.
I walked past him and exited the classroom, with my bag in hand.

Come lunch time, I sat in the bathrooms. I didn't really eat though I just didn't wanna burden Lia again. Passive, I sat there staring at the ceiling. Music blaring through my earbuds, making my heart pound along with it. I felt almost swayed into it, felt as though I fell into a river and floated along the surface with faint noises coming through the water, muffled.
After that I went to my 4th period, then 5th.
For my 6th I walked in to see Edge sat up in the corner in the back of the class just like last time. He didn't have a book though, his head was leaned against the wall, and who knows what he was listening to. The book from before sat idly in his bag. He looked so peaceful there, gorgeous beyond compare.
When the bell rang I walked over, kneeled and took a bud from him.
"Hi." I said, somber. He looked up at me and grinned, and something felt all to familiar about it. I fell back, horrified. Flashbacks from my nightmare coursed through me. I couldn't really remember the dream well but I felt so unnerved seeing him smile like that.
His face fell to confusion. "Hey you alright- um... girl?" Edge asked with furrowed brows.
I ran out of the room only to slam into Emily. I began to cry right then and there.
"Woah woah! What happened?" She asked pulling me closer to her so she could get a good look. Wiping away my tears as she examined my bandaged arms.
