Everyone arrived one after another with a gift in hand. I was a little confused but they told me I had no reason to bring a gift for Lia, as it was just a tradition for their families. I still felt bad though.
I sat on the couch, my feet propped up and resting on Lia's lap as a i nibbled on a slice of watermelon. She had a garden in the back, she said it was a melon from there. Delicious, I was impressed.
Her house wasn't as big as I had originally thought but it had a gorgeous view over-looking a lake, the dining room lit up from soft daylight and the interior was stunning. They had a huge backyard covered in all sorts of fruits and herbs. Even a couch swing sitting in the middle of all the glory.
I noticed Cain, who sat next to Lia, his arm resting on the back of the couch above her. He was sipping on the canteen in his hand. Owl blood again? How much do you need to consume to truly be the best rich kid?
I wanted to show them the contents in my bag right then and there. I had a few canteens filled with peach snaps, but I needed to wait till nightfall; once we would crowd into Lia's room and the true fun would begin. We had all just been hanging out and eating snacks and discussing new music for next quarters performance.
They were all so invested in it. They were talented too so it was rightfully so that they put their all into it. Tonight though, I'd teach these workaholics how to really party. They needed some proper down time and I knew how to orchestrate it. Of course if they refused the alcohol, I'd understand. I can take the L, they don't need to drink if they don't want to. But I for sure wanted to make the offer.
I'm not usually social, and it's because I over think and tend to take everything to heart, like I just can't handle the unknown of what people really think of me. However I pulled my head out of my ass for parties. It was my raison d'etré. My ability to pull a party from depressing to raging was a huge notch on my belt. Though, I don't actually remember more than half of the parties I've attended...
Come nightfall, me and the guys crowd into Lia's bedroom. Jax and Cain sitting back against her dresser, Rosa taking her spot on the window seat, Lia and Cassie on her bed, and me against her closet doors. Emily came and sat in Jax's lap, as he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Do I not get any love too, Lia?" Cain pouted looking up to her.
"Nope, it's all for Cassie" Lia laughed hugging Cassie to her chest, toppling them over.
Cassie lifts her head looking over at Cain; "Haha I stole your girl!" Cassie laughs flipping him off.
Cain jumps up and picks up Lia sitting her on his lap, leaning back against her bed frame. She's laughing and hitting his chest.
Cassie fake sobs and sits by Rosa, who gives pats to humor her.
"You guys have played party games before right?" I ask pulling my bag over to me.
I wait for an answer before opening it though, "like never have I ever?" Lia asks.
"I meant more along the lines of strip poker" their faces prove innocent and I laugh. "Never have I ever makes for a calm drinking game though."
"Did we just gain ourselves a bad influence?" Lia teases re-adjusting her position. I laugh unzipping my bag.
"Depends" I say holding up a canteen. It's not really the best first drink, I was hoping that they've drank before at the very least.
