Friday. Tomorrow is the huge performance we've been preparing for tirelessly for the past few months. I couldn't wait for tomorrow. It'd be the biggest production I've ever witnessed. The rehearsal would be cool tonight too but tomorrow? With the audience watching and everyone's spirits so high. My heart burned with anticipation,
Of course the day just had to move slowly, and I sat there, in my chair tapping a pencil against my desk waiting for home room to just end.
I looked over to Edge. The book this time was red. I think it was the cover of Fahrenheit 451. Why is he reading such old books? That isn't a senior book either... on his desk sits a long black eagle feather. I think he uses it as a bookmark. Odd... his posture was horrendous but not surprising. He sticks the feather in the page he just finished and closes the book setting it in his bag before laying his head on his arms.
He looks over to me and I smirk. He moves his head up a little so I can see his grin. His pretty lashes flutter shut and he naps for the rest of the period. When the bell rings I walk up to his desk and tap on his shoulder.
"Hey..." I whisper. I tuck a curl behind his ear. "Psst." I brush my fingers across his cheek and his eyes open, looking up at me. He sits up, rubbing his eyes.
"Hey." He says with a smile.
"I wanna walk you to your next class." I say slyly.
"Sure." He says pulling his book bag over his shoulder. I walk out behind him. Apparently he attended a ceramics class for one of his electives. It was pretty charming.
"Soooo" I start, biting my lip "tomorrow is the dance performance in the Imperial Divine" I shrill.
"Oh right, you told me about that." He says opening the door to exit this building. I walk out and he lets the door slam shut.
My heart begins to pump fast. I almost forgot about that...
"Uh yah... um.." I stutter, tightly gripping my skirt and biting the inside of my lip. "About that... we were all super drunk cuz we were playing truth or dare and my dare was to walk around the park in that... We really didn't expect to see anyone." I mumble opening the door for the next building.
"I figured it was something like that... but who knows maybe you're lying and you just have a kink for embarrassment" he breathes low.
"Shut up." I hit his chest, trying to change the subject. "Anyways, the recital is tomorrow, are you attending?" I ask doe-eyed.
"I don't like crowded places, no." He responds and then frowns and adds "I'm sure it'll be a great performance though, sorry."
"I'm not dancing but they really are great" I beam.
He stops infront of an art room and turns to me; "See you in 6th." He says with a wave before entering the class. I wave too and turn on my feet and head to my next class.

Lunch rolls around and I slide into my seat at our round table, opening up my lunchbox and biting into my PB & J. Who cares about their honey roasted turkey from Peru and their fresh black currant macarons from a french bakery when this scrumptious sandwich sits in front of me. Okay I do care, I'm actually drooling over their food everyday at lunch. There have been a few days where I've tried their food and if you've seen Food Wars, that's what it felt like. I think I almost cried tasting the omelette Emily's family chef makes for the first time.
"Ughhh I can't think about anything else but tomorrow!" Lia cries stuffing her face with turkey. "I might've failed my science quiz today!"
"That one isn't graded though right?" Rosa asks, dipping bread in balsamic.
