Peter's POV
We walked out of the school together.
I was so nervous!
My hand was literally shaking the whole time.
"The weather is finally nice!" she said with her wonderful smile, and then looked at me, still smiling.
"Y-yeah" I replied with an awkward smile. Oh god. WHY DO I ALWAYS MAKE MYSELF LOOK LIKE A FOOL IN FRONT OF HER?
She smiled again and then looked in front of her.
"I need to tell you something , Peter."
I turned my head towards her, confused. Could it be....?
"What?" I asked
"I'll tell you at the park" she said, and smiled once more. "I'll race you there!"
She ran, laughing.
"Hey! Wait up!" I said and jogged after her
"Last one there is a rotten egg" she blurted out, smiled, and ran even faster.
"Wait!" I screamed, laughing, while failing to catch up.
Amy was approaching a road.
Just as she was three steps away from it, the light turned red.
Yet she ran on.
"Amy!"
She turned her head around, and looked at me, laughing.
She stopped running for a few seconds in the middle of the road.
"What?" She asked
"RED LIGHT! GET OFF THE FUCKING ROAD!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.
Just as I was about to run myself onto the road to make her move, a red car appeared.
Next thing I know, Amy is in the air.
Time stops as she is flung into the warm, humid sky. Her face looks angelic, and I swear that I could see, in that moment, translucent wings on each of her sides.
The car speeds off.
Amy falls onto the road.
"Amy! AMY! " I scream running onto the road.
"AMY! ANSWER ME!"
"WAKE UP! " I scream, sobbing, shaking her lifeless body. Her eyes were still open, and they looked at me with grief. Her chocolate hair hung loosely by her sides. As I put gently put her head onto my lap, I feel a warm liquid coming from her scalp.
A red liquid.
"AMY!!!!!!!"
I erupt into sobs.
Amy was dead.
