-Brady's POV-
We are on our way to Shase's uncle's house. By we, I mean me and Freddy. I was finally able to convince him to come with me and apologize to Shase. The way I got his uncles address was Shase's dad. I asked him for it and he told me he was going there today, so I'm in my car with Freddy, who is asleep, following his dads car so we don't get lost.
We got to the house around 6 at night.
I smack Freddy's face and he wakes up, startled. "Wake up. We're here."
He rubs his hands over his face. "Can you stop with the physical assault? I'm here, aren't I?"
"Yeah, took you long enough."
"Whatever."
We get out of the car and follow Shase's dad.
Shase's uncle answers the door and immediately sends a glare behind me to Freddy. "You can go on in. He's asleep on the couch," he tells Shase's dad who happily goes on in. He beams at me. "It's nice to finally meet you. Brady, right?"
I smile and reply with a nod. "I brought this guy here to apologize and possibly get on good terms with Shase. Would that be possible?"
His smiles drops as he looks at Freddy with disgust. "Do I have to?"
I chuckle. "Yes. Think of it as closure."
He ponders over it for a second then gives in. "Fine. If my darling nephew cries, you'll both be dealing with Kelsy. Come on in. I'm sure his annoying father woke him up already." He turns around and motions for us to follow. We do and Freddy closes the door behind us as we follow Jeff into the living room where we find Shase sitting in some guys lap, both laughing at whatever his father had said.
"Shase you have some guests that would like a moment of your time."
He looks over at us and smiles. "Hi Brady. What are you doing here?"
I look over and realize that Freddy is hiding behind the wall. I sigh and walk into the living room greeting Shase. "I just haven't seen you in forever. I missed you always bossing me around and threatening to expell me."
He giggles. "I missed you too," he admits.
He's changed a lot. Not in a bad way, but in a creepy sort of way. I'm not used to this joyful Shase that I've never had the pleasure of seeing. He used to be so cold hearted and mean. He would always have a scowl on his face and every time he looked at you, it would be to glare. I like this new Shase. Maybe bringing Freddy was a bad idea. I've never heard Shase giggle before. I didn't think he was capable of such a thing.
"Who did you bring with you?" He asks and I instantly frown, causing him to frown as well.
Freddy rounds the corner, avoiding any eye contact from anybody.
"What are you doing here? Why are you here?" Shase asks, anger lacing his voice.
"He came to apologize. Didn't you Fredward?"
The guy Shase is sitting on laughs. I know right. His name is so funny.
"I-I did," Freddy mumbles.
"Well, you're not forgiven, so you can leave now." Shase was so cute just a second ago.
I sigh. We just have to give him time. "Freddy, just go out to the car. I'll be right there, okay?"
He nods and quickly leaves to go wait for me.
"Why did you bring him here?" Shase asks sounding sad now.
"I wanted you two to be on good terms. He still cares for you, he's just scared. I was talking to him and he really wants to be a part of your kid's life. I brought him so he could tell you that himself, but he chickened out. That guy is a fucking idiot."
"He'll have to try harder if he wants my forgiveness."
I'm about to get up and leave when the guy beneath Shase speaks. "Give him this and maybe he'll reconsider if he has balls or not." He digs in his pocket and pulls out his wallet. He grabs out a piece of paper and hands it to me. "We don't know the gender. Shase wants to keep it a surprise."
"But isn't this yours?" I ask.
He shrugs. "I've always got Shase if I want to see the baby."
I nod and take the paper from him, "Thanks. I'll hopefully be back later with a man, not a chicken."
