-Shase's POV-
I sit listening to some music by The Living Tombstone as I finish my homework from last night. I put it in my bag when I finish it and get ready for school. My outfit consists of my favorite blue long sleeve dress shirt and my only pair of non-faded black skinnie jeans. I shove on my blue high top converse and put on my black and grey checkered vest along with a black tie. I tuck the tie behind the vest and brush my hair out, water droplets falling onto my face from my previous shower. Shaking my head, I leave my hair the way it is. Messy or not, I don't really care, I look good either way. I throw my bag over my shoulder after putting my laptop and phone in it and leave downstairs. I find my dad in the kitchen and kiss his cheek telling him that I will be home later.
He just smiled at me and nodded, waving me off.
I'm glad my mother isn't here in the morning or both me and dad would have heard a bunch of shit from her.
On my way to the school, I plug my earphones in and press play on my phone, letting it play something random by Five Finger Death Punch in my ears.
It's only 7 in the morning and I have to be there by 8. Why am I leaving so early?
I glance around, I'm in the middle of town at the moment. My school is on the other side of town, but usually I make it there in less than 20 minutes, but now since I had a whole hour 'til I had to be there, I decided to stop at a cafe and get something to eat and wake me up even more. Maybe not coffee. It ruins breath and teeth. I walk into the small cafe and am greeted with the smell of multiple sweets floating in the air. I walk up to the counter and the small, petite girl there blushes like mad.
"W-What w-will y-you b-be h-having t-today, S-Sir?" she stutters out.
Jezus. Maybe I should start dressing like I'm gay, or walk around making out with my boyfriend to show people how utterly gay I am. Maybe I should make a sign that says, "Back off ladies, I'm Guysexual."
"Peppermint white hot chocolate, a blueberry muffin and a chocolate chip muffin."
She gave me the total and I paid it then stood there waiting for my order so I can get the fuck outta here.
I look around and notice people staring at me. Most of them are people from school. Most have never seen me outside od school and were proabbaly hoping they never would.
I am given my muffins and hot chocolate and hurry out of that sweet-smelling place. Never again will I go in there on a weekend, especially if it means I get stared at like a mentally insane person. I take a sip of my hot chocolate and almost die from the steaming hot beverage burning my tongue and the minty taste it left on my taste buds. I laugh at myself. Idiot. It's hot chocolate. I hear my phone start ringing and fish it out of my bag, looking at the caller ID. A smile takes place on my lips as I answer. "Hey."
"Hey, sweet cheeks. You on your way to that thingy?"
"Thingy?" I ask teasingly, knowing what he means.
He chuckles. "The Music Concert."
"Yeah. I'm on my way to the school right now. Why do you want to know?"
"Maybe I want to know what my beautiful boy toy is doing!" He yells.
I feel myself blush. "D-Don't call me a boy toy!" I hear his laughter in the background as he talks to me on speaker. He worries too much about his phone sending radiation to melt his brain, so he rarely has it to his ear.
"Yes. You're my boy toy. Anyways, can I come watch you?"
"This isn't for your entertainment."
"I know. I just want to see you," he whines.
"Fine. Do whatever you want."
I hear him squeal in excitement. "'Kay, Babe! I'll meet you at your school!"
"Okay."
He hangs up and I stuff my phone back into my bag after pressing play and putting my earphones back on which had been removed when I ordered my breakfast.
I finish my chocolate chip muffin by the time I get to the gates of the school and my hot chocolate is half empty and becoming warm. What's the point of having warm hot chocolate? There isn't one! I continue drinking my warm hot chocolate as I walk halfway up the steps and seat myself on the cold pavement.
Cold, familiar hands cover my eyes. "Guess who."
I smile and bring my tongue out, licking the side of his hand.
"Eww," he squeals, removing his hands from my face.
I turn around and smirk. "You never learn," I say shaking my head at him.
He pouts, "You never guess!"
"Because there's no point when I already know it's you," I point out.
He crosses his arms over his chest, "What if it wasn't me?"
"Who else would it be?"
He wraps his arms around my torso and rests his chin on my shoulder. He licks the shell of my ear and it sends a shiver down my spine. He nibbles on the lobe and I let out a small, shrill moan, pushing him away a bit with a small giggle.
He goes lower, to my neck, and starts sucking like he's a vampire, but I stop him before he goes too far. "I told you you can't do that. I can't have any visible marks," I growl.
He sighs and licks my neck again. "Sorry. I forgot," he whispers against my ear.
I sigh as people start showing up. The teacher shows up last and gives me a questioning look about my boyfriend. I tell her he's my guest and pull Freddy onto the bus with me and make him sit by the window. I relax against the seat when the bus starts moving after everyone is seated. Freddy just sits quietly and rests his head on my shoulder while playing with my fingers.
"Are you nervous?" Jesse asks me.
I don't talk much, but she always tries forcing me to. "Only a bit." I hear a chuckle behind me.
"Well, this ain't swimming, that's for damn sure," Kyle says laughing.
A smirk pulls at the corner of my lips at the sound of his southern accent. He's one of those stereotypical cowboys. No one would've ever expected that he plays the violin.
Jesse reaches over and smacks Kyle. "Be nice!" She yells at him. "Don't hate! Just cause you can't swim, doesn't mean you should hate on the sport!"
He laughs again, "I can hate on what I want! When I want!"
"You can. Just not here. That's bullying," Mrs. Petitt interjects with a mischievous smirk on her face.
Kyle starts to yell and pout.
Honestly, this is the closest I will ever get to friends. I don't trust easily. It took a while for me to even consider having Freddy as my boyfriend. I don't think this relationship will last long though. I'll probably do something to mess it up unintentionally. I chat with the people I almost consider friends while Freddy calmly falls asleep on my shoulder. I pet his soft hair when the rest of the bus goes quiet. I wonder what he will think of my performance?
Only if Father could make it to one of my performances. Maybe Mother too and Sister. Maybe it would change their perspective on me. Maybe I could give it a try. Just maybe.
