My battery thankfully came in, so I can update again. Also, I like the new update for this because it tells me my word count. How convenient.

Calum's face grew sickingly pale at the mention of Michael Clifford.

"W-what are you talking about?"

"Ashton Irwin told me you and Michael are talking." Calum bit his lip and looked at anywhere but me.

"A-and you believe him?" He asked instead of answering my question.

"I do now. Cal, why wouldn't you think I'd be ok with it? Sure, he's not the first person I would expect you to be with." I shrugged. Calum finally looked at me and smiled sadly.

"So, you're not mad?"

"Of course not. I think it's cute, actually." I smiled reassuringly.

"Ok, but remember that we're just talking right now. Nothing exclusive, just casual." He informed me before turning to his work.

I'm at my locker, putting my text books away and grabbing my homework assignments. It's the end of the day and I'm thrilled to go home.

"How are you, babe." Ashton startled me and I let out an embarrassing squeak. I turned to the smirking boy behind me.

"I-I'm ok." I stuttered quietly, zipping my backpack shut.

"You don't seem to sure of yourself." He stated obviously and I rolled my eyes.

"My days are normal. Nothing new, nothing special." Ashton showed a look of mock offense.

"So our time together isn't special? I thought we had something, babe." He frowned. I rolled my eyes again an slung my book bag over my shoulder.

"Goodbye, Ashton."

I entered my boring and quiet house after my study session with Calum at the library. The first place I go is to the kitchen. Because there is a no food rule at the library, and I don't eat school food, I have to come up with something on my own.

Unfortunately, my fridge and pantry were empty, so I would have to starve. At least I thought that until I saw a note on the island.

I went out with the girls, so don't wait up on me. Here's a twenty, order pizza or whatever. See you later.

Liz~

Typical. She goes out all the time, leaves me some cash, and comes back late the next day.

I pocketed the money and note and decided to walk to the markets for some real food. I love pizza, but I'm tired of take out and delivery.

I'm at the store and currently hiding in the books section because I honest to god saw Ashton Irwin from two rows down. Before he could look in my direction, the first thing I could think of was to flee.

I've been hiding here for the past two minutes when I see Ashton in the pasta section, that gave me the perfect opportunity to bolt to the transactions and leave.

However, my life never has high points and I end up bumping into a stupid big rubber ball display net basket thing and the next thing I know, I'm on the ground and the coloured spheres are bouncing everywhere.

I murmured apologies and awkwardly picked the net basket display thing up. I picked up some of the balls and threw them into the net. Other patrons were kind enough to help out, and I was grateful, but among the helping bystanders, one of them happened to be Ashton.

"Pleasure seeing you here, babe." He smirked and gave me the ball in his hand. I just noticed that they were actually very big. They practically engulfed half of the ball.

"Um..." I was at a loss of words, and I could feel my face turning an unbelievable shade of red.

"So what goes on?" He asked next.

"Um, just picking up dinner." I said lamely.

"Wow, I didn't know these things were edible." He joked, picking my basket up for me. I rolled my eyes and took it from him after dusting myself off.

"I have to go." I muttered and was about to walk away before he called out for me. I turned around to see him holding the money and reading the note.

"Maybe, you should come over to my place for dinner?" He asked almost hopefully. I should be mad that he grew nosy and read the note, but I'm not for some unknown reason.

"Um... sure." I agreed. He smiled warmly and handed me my money and note in exchange for my basket.

"You won't be needing that." He smirked and walked away. Confused, I followed him.

"What all do you have to get?" I asked when I noticed he wasn't heading towards the checkout lanes.

"Nothing. I'm just putting your groceries back." He hummed. I nodded and silently followed him until he came down to the last item: a bag of cuties.

"I personally like these, so they'll just stay with us." He winked and put the now empty basket in the neat pile by the entrance.

I couldn't help but smile because from what I saw in Ashton's basket- dinosaur nuggets, juicy juice, and now the cuties- he seemed to either have younger siblings, or has a huge inner child.

"Do your siblings like that stuff?" I asked somewhat fondly.

"Nah. I don't have siblings. I just think dinosaur nuggets are cooler and juice boxes are awesome." He grinned. I giggled at Ashton's upbeat attitude.

"That's cute." I accidentally said, but covered my mouth and blushed immediately.

"You're lucky you are to or I would have decked you." Ashton said with a face expression that was borderline scary with a hint of playfulness.

I blushed again because he basically called me cute.

I'm going to update again very soon, I just want to finish writing it. I got a lot of it done, and I hope you guys like it as well as this chapter. And also, there will be a continuation of the Malum thing. That's just very on the side.
