I really got into writing this chapter! I actually started writing it on my birthday! That picture up there is actually me!😂
I came by Luke's place around ten 'til eight. Luke was in some black skinny jeans that did wonders for his legs and a dark grey jumper thats sleeves went passed his hands. His feet were clad in vans and his head was covered in a beanie, with his fringe out and somewhat framing his face. Then his glasses made his eyes look much bigger and bluer than without. He looked effortlessly beautifully.
"Hi, Ashton." He smiled shyly and let me inside. Liz was in the kitchen, wearing a bathrobe and white flannel pants. I kindly greeted her, and she lethargically smiled. Luke grabbed and apple and almost walked out before I stopped him.
"Just an apple?" I asked and looked at the sad excuse of a breakfast. He shrugged.
"Yeah, why?" He asked as if eating only an apple for breakfast was completely normal.
"That's so little," I grimaced. Luke looked at the apple and shrugged, about to take a bite. I quickly pulled the apple out of his grasp and set it down. "No. We're getting real food." I announced and took his small hand in mine.
"But we're gonna be late for school." He groaned in protest."
"We have about half an hour until first lesson starts. If we eat in the car we'll make it on time." I didn't give him a chance to argue as I practically dragged him out of the kitchen and slung the school bag on the couch over my shoulder.
"You don't have to. The apple was fine-"
"Sorry, babe. But it wasn't. You're practically starving yourself with that tiny thing." I dismissed the topic and threw his bag in the backseat.
"Where are you taking me anyway?" He asked as he hopped into my SUV and buckled his seatbelt.
"I know a great place with awesome smoothies and great breakfast." I smiled at him before starting the car.
Luke's POV
Ashton had insisted on getting me a real breakfast. It was awfully sweet of him, but he didn't have to. We have only been dating for a weekend, so I don't expect him to buy me anything because he also insisted on that.
And the food was amazing. He said he went here after his weekend morning jogs. I guess he did those when he wasn't spending the night at my house.
We had ten minutes until our lessons by the time we arrived to the campus. I had to retrieve my textbooks from my locker as quickly as possible. It seemed like Ashton was going at a normal pace whilst I was rushing.
"Relax, Luke. Almost half the school is still lurking. Your class isn't even that far away. You'll make it." He was on his phone now: texting. And I still wasn't ready.
I was bending down to put my book in my bag when there was a sound of a loud thud against metal. I abruptly stood up and turned around to find Ashton pinning a terrified-looking student down on a few poor souls' lockers. They were now slightly caved in thanks to him.
"I wouldn't do that again if I were you." Ashton spat, fire in his eyes. I looked between him and the other guy with my backpack clutched to my chest.
"I-I'm sorry! I swear it won't happen! It was just a bet and-" Ashton cut him off.
"So is sexual assault just a joke to you then?!" Ashton was enraged now. I helplessly stood there, unable to form words. And neither was the boy practically attached to the lockers.
"I-I-"
"When I'm done with you, you'll never think once about touching my boyfriend. Or anyone for that matter!" He glared angrily. I looked around to find people whispering amongst themselves. They were no doubt about the situation at hand.
"Ash. Put him down." I quipped shakily. Both boys turned to me; Ashton gave me an incredulous look. The bell rang, but nobody cleared the halls.
"He tried to slap your bum, Lukey." I had not known that. I turned to give the boy a shameful look, then back to Ashton.
"Put him down," I spoke clearly and audibly. He spared the guy one last glance before releasing his shirt. He scrambled out of Ashton's way and ran out of sight. "Are you alright?" I asked when Ashton turned to face me. I set my bag down and moved closer to him.
"I'm fucking pissed." He grumbled and ran his fingers through his hair. I frowned and pulled Ashton towards me. I currently had my arms around his neck and our chests were touching.
"It's ok. Just relax for me, yeah?" I whispered against his lips, our noses brushing.
"I'm going to pound him." Ashton huffed. His breath smelled faintly of the banana berry smoothie he had earlier, and it smelled just as good as it tasted when he offered some to me.
"Please don't. Save it for the gym, yeah?" I try to reason with him. I pecked his lips softly and continually until he put his hand on the back of my neck and kept me in place. I squeaked in surprise but kissed back. He retreated, pressed our foreheads together and sighed.
"Jesus, I needed that. Thank you." His eyes met mine after a long moment. It was then that I noticed the ounce of vulnerability he had.
"I just don't want you to get into any trouble with anyone." I shrugged and kissed him softly. He returned it and wrapped his arms around my waist, holding me unbelievably closer.
"I know," He sighed and let up a smile. It wasn't his genuine bright and sunny one, but it was something. "I'll try not to."
"Yeah?" I asked him quietly. He nodded and kissed me forehead.
"Yeah." The first bell rang for first period, which meant I had approximately one minute to get to my class.
"I'll see you later. Don't get into any trouble, Ashton." I said pointedly and grabbed my backpack from the ground before rushing towards my first lesson.
I hope you liked the update. I kind of did. But anyway, please vote, comment, share... Either works! I'll update pretty soon!
