Yeah, I should probably inform you that I'm sick, and when I'm sick, I get nosebleeds... I bet you can connect the dots. Anyway, sorry for not updating right away. But here's chapter eight!

"Home sweet pineapple." He smiled at himself and set his keys on the end table.

"Hon, is that you?" I heard a woman call.

"Yeah, mommy. I brought someone over, I hope you don't mind." Mommy? Never in a million years did I think Ashton would ever say mommy.

"Of course, sweetie," She walked into the lounge room, wiping her hands on a paper towel. "And you are?"

"Uh, Luke... Luke Hemmings." She smiled brightly and walked towards me.

"Nice to meet you, love. Dinner will be ready shortly." She said, shaking my hand.

"Nice to meet you, too." I almost whispered.

"Just go up to my room for a second. It's the door at the end of the hall." He informed me pointing at the stairs. I nod and carried myself up the stairs. And I swear I heard Ashton's mom say, "You were right. He is cute."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ashton's room had a lot of posters, of a lot of bands that I happened to both know and like. He had good music taste, I'll give him that.
He and his mom seemed very close. I wish I had that with my mom. I could never invite Ashton to have dinner at my house because that really translates having dinner with just me.
While I'm deep in thought, sitting on his bed, he comes in and closes the door behind him.
"What's up with you?" He raises an eyebrow and sits down next to me. Something tells me he wants to know why I'm staring blankly at a wall.
"Just thinking." I murmured, looking down at my lap.
"Was it that note your mom wrote you?" He asked. And yes, it was that note.
"Yeah." I whispered and awkwardly tapped my foot into his carpet.
"Your mom and you... you're not really close, are you?" He asked, I nodded and looked up at him.
"You and your mother have a good relationship, my mother barely acknowledges me. You saw the note. She called herself 'Liz'. Am I not worthy enough to receive the permission to give her the title of 'mom'?" I almost go into a rant, but Ashton stopped me before I could go further.
"Don't bring yourself down, babe. She doesn't realize how great it is to have a kid. Children are gifts, in my opinion." Ashton spoke softly. Somehow, his arm wound up around my waist, but I didn't exactly mind.
"T-thanks." I blushed, looking around his room.
"Hey, even mean people have nice days." He stood up and looked at himself through his the full-body mirror. I frowned and stood right next to him.
"You're not mean." I said to his reflection in a soft whisper.
"Yeah, I am." He snorted, though the smile didn't reach his eyes.
"Really. You're not a mean person. Sure, you wear this facade that gives you a bad boy persona, but that kind of parishes when you're around your mum. But in honesty, you're actually very sweet." I chuckle at the end. The corners of Ashton's mouth quirk up and he turns to look at me.
"Yeah?" I nodded and he stared at me with a genuine smile. I smiled back, only to turn to the ground and blush. Ashton's hand found it's way under my chin and he lifted my head up so I was looking directly at him.
I never noticed how beautiful his eyes were until now. They're a pretty hazel colour that appear warm and inviting, and I feel I could stare at them all day. That says a lot, considering I don't like making direct eye contact.
Before I knew what was happening, Ashton suddenly leaned forward and captured my lips in his, kissing me slowly and passionately. I sling my arms around his neck and deepen the kiss as he pulled me closer to him by my waist.
We stood there for what seemed like an eternity, though it was probably the greatest eternity I've ever experienced. Ashton's kiss was so soft and gentle- something you'd never expect from him at a first glance. His arms were so comforting and not at all threatening, despite their large size. They were like half a cantaloupe.
Ashton pulled away slowly and rested his forehead against mine. He looked into my eyes and smiled.
"W-we should probably go down for dinner." He muttered, his breath ghosting over my lips. I was at a loss of words, so I responded with a nod. He chuckled and completely moved away from me before taking my much smaller hand in his own and leading me downstairs to the kitchen.
"You came just in time." Ashton's mom grinned, somewhat knowingly.
"Hi, mommy." Ashton smiled and kissed her cheek then walked with me towards the table. I sat down right next to him, seeing as I have grown more comfortable with him.
"Hi, sweetie. And hi, Luke. I hope you like spaghetti." She said, stirring the sauce.
"I love spaghetti." I respond in a soft voice. She smiled at me and put pasta into three bowls.
"And how much sauce do you like?" She asked, pouring sauce into Ashton's and her own plate.
"Uh, I guess like, uh-" I turned to Ashton with a blush, silently asking him for help.
"Um, just give him how much you usually give me?" He answered for me. His mom turned to give me a smile of sympathy.
"You're alright, darling." She reassured. She must've understood my silent apology.
"T-thanks." I blushed deeply. Ashton chuckled and kissed my cheek, rubbing the back of my hand with his thumb.
"You too are just the cutest." She comments, setting our bowls down in front of us. I said a quiet thank you and lifted my fork, twirling some pasta onto it.
"Thanks for taking me home." I smiled when Ashton pulled up to my driveway. Liz still wasn't home, so I invited him inside.
"No problem." He said, looking around my house. It wasn't messy or anything, it was just plain. Only simple colours like gray and white. It was pretty said. I hated how boring it is.
"Do you wanna go to my room? It's not monotonous over there." Ashton nodded and followed me upstairs to my bedroom.
"Wow, you weren't kidding." Ashton hummed, looking around my room.
"Yeah, I hate going downstairs." I shrugged and plopped myself onto my bed. Ashton chuckled and sat down on the edge.
"At least you're room has good entertainment." He said, referring to my extensive DVD collection, or CDs. I'm not entirely too sure.
"You left out colour." I giggle. He smirked and laid down next to me, shifting to get comfortable.
"We should watch something." He suggested and turned on my TV. I nodded and cuddled into him as he channel surfed. He ended up choosing the Big Bang Theory and setting the remote down.
It was nice to just hang out with him, up until I heard the door open and close.
"Lucifer!" Oh crap.
Yes, so in the next chapter, Ashton will meet Liz. An because I have no life, even for a sophomore, I might change the title to where it doesn't say slow updates.
