Wilbur didn't know what it was exactly that drew him back in the village that day.

Maybe he was just looking to clear his mind, to talk to some old friends again. Maybe he was looking to see something other than acres of potatoes all day.

Or maybe, though he would never admit that to himself, he was looking for someone specific, a certain pink haired royal he had met at that exact spot a few days ago.

He didn't even know what he really wanted from the prince.

The first thing he thought of was money. As sad as it was, Techno had all the recources necessary to get him and Tommy through decades of upcoming winters.

But he wouldn't ask him. Techno didn't know him, he didn't owe him anything, in fact he shouldn't care about him either.

Even if there really was the slight chance they could be brothers or even twins, that wouldn't change anything about either of their lives.

Wilburs grimazed as he strummed over his guitar, playing the chord wrong.

Playing the guitar would usually calm him down, except when things weren't going to plan. The brunet didn't even notice his quiet audience as he grew more and more frustrated with himself.

"Did you learn it yourself?"

Wilbur flinched and turned around at the sudden sound of a familiar voice behind him.

Technoblade looked at him with innocent eyes and gestured towards the guitar.

"Uh, yes. Well, mostly. My dad taught me some basic chords and then I kinda went on from there."

Techno nodded. "May I?"

Before Wil could say anything, the young royal already sat down next to him.

"Why are you out here alone?" Wilbur questioned, studying the pinkets pig ears.

"I think I could ask you that same question young man." He replied chuckling.

"I don't know why I'm here honestly. I like this place, it's usually lonely."

"Oh, I'm sorry, did I interrupt your loneliness?"

"You did, but you shall be forgiven your majesty."

They shared a small laugh as Wilbur put the guitar down next to him.

"Seriously though, why are you out here?"

Techno looked down at his hands.

"I'm not sure. I guess I was looking for you?"

Wilbur was slightly taken aback by his reply. He hadn't thought the prince had been thinking about this as much as he did.

"Why?"

Techno had sparked his interest now.

"I need answers. I know you can't give me all of them but maybe you know things I don't."

"Like what?"

"Like my family? Or our family?"

Wilbur starred at him wide eyed. So Techno really did think they were brothers. He seemed to be fairly sure of it as well.

"I don't know if I can help you with that if I'm honest."

The brunets eyes wandered around the old houses trying to avoid making eye contact with the older.

Techno was visibly unsatisfied with that answer.

"I'm not asking for the full story." He sighed. "All I'm asking for is who my family is. But it was foolish of me to think you'd know. You're a stranger, why would you tell me your life story."
