A Heartbreaking Muse
These scars and cuts, you carve deep into my skin
You wait desperately, waiting for me to flinch
Deep down they look blood, but it's a red ink
This is what it looks now, an elaborately written lesson
Oh so painfully permanent, an intricate tattooing
Always trying to eclipse all the light I once shone
Darkening my sunniest skies, it's an endless marathon
This is the last match, you tried burning me downBurning me, lightened my candles I'd never found
Cause darling I shine brighter in my darkest days,
And you're the muse of all of my heartbreaks
Only to have the light enter through these cracks, you imprint
He kisses band aids on my skin, healing the dark prints
Hiding all the inscribed morals, I had learnt by heart
It's alright now, the future is just the consequence of the past
How these blood drops ricochet, will be your nemeses at last
Always trying to eclipse all the light I once shone
Darkening my sunniest skies, it's an endless marathon
This is the last match, you tried burning me down
Burning me, lightened my candles I'd never found
Cause darling I shine brighter in my darkest days,
And you're the muse of all of my heartbreaks
Bleeding all over, with this heartbreak, I'm stained
But as I sit here, shedding my armour of band aids
You'll be left alone, listening to the muse of my pain
Catching my breath, inhaling darkness and exhaling light,
Happily ever afters, always start with bad once upon a times
Always trying to eclipse all the light I once shone
Darkening my sunniest skies, it's an endless marathon
This is the last match, you tried burning me down
Burning me, lightened my candles I'd never found
Cause darling I shine brighter in my darkest days,
And you're the muse of all of my heartbreaks
Yes all of my heartbreaks
All my heartbreaks
