Synopsis:
Once Upon a Heartbreak is a song, that reflects trauma-bondings in toxic friendships and relationships. It's about how impossibly hard it can get, to let go of your abuser, which is why most people stay in these toxicships. Trauma-bonding is a serious condition that sometimes people mistake with masochism (I mean I did :'). Because nothing lasts forever and these relations are nothing, hence why they never end. 🙂Once Upon a Heartbreak
My bleeding heart bounded with chains of someday-it'll-get-better
Contemplating what if my tears erase those written letters
I had learnt by heart, the morals you taught me so well,
That the absence of sadness is still meant to be happiness
Your inexistence made me less lonelier than spending time with you again
One step forward to you, was a step backwards from myselfIf there was no villain, then what's the story for?
Yet If I was the villain of the story, then who was the author?
And if there were no sad chapters, then what'd be the moral?
Why was the ending meant to be better when it was the end after all?
Maybe we were nothing, maybe that's why we lasted forever
It was meant to be a once upon a heartbreak, and a sadly ever afterI see light better, in lesser light, like the end of the dark tunnel
Running in there, to look forward to the good parts again
If it's never dark, I can never count the bright stars of that moment
Shining fulfilling promises of better times and new beginnings
So just to feel alone, I spent more time
with you again and again
What doesn't kills me makes me want us more than anything elseAnd the ashes of my once burnt bridges, as I look back now
Once upon a heartbreak, this too shall passes and I don't know how
I reread the plots, like the one book you never want it to end anyhow
Cause I've always been the back of the book cover, a lesson standing outIf there was no villain, then what's the story for?
Yet If I was the villain of the story, then who was the author?
And if there were no sad chapters, then what'd be the moral?
Why was the ending meant to be better when it was the end after all?
Maybe we were nothing, maybe that's why we lasted forever
It was meant to be a once upon a heartbreak, and a sadly ever after
