Ryder finally stopped after about twenty minutes on the road. We were outside the town, in a small restaurant. It looked surprisingly cozy. It was nowhere near the pizza place where I got kidnapped. The thought still brings a shiver up my spine.
Everything around the restaurant looked like from another place. I knew by the decor that we were somewhere in Europe. It looked like a small town in Europe.
I didn't realize where I was until I read the sign.
'Marta's Cocina Italiana'
Ryder brought me to an Italian restaurant. He knew I was craving pasta."It's nice here." I smiled.
"Yeah, the best Italian food is here." He shrugged.
"What about Cassy's?" I said remembering the restaurant Drew took me too.
"Cassy isn't as good at here. Trust me." He smiled and I nodded.
The lady that was taking our orders was really nice.
I ordered a Fettuccine while Ryder ordered Lasagna."Thank you." I smiled at the lady when our plates arrived.
I didn't even wait for Ryder I dug in."This is so good." I moaned.
"Really? So it's better than Cassy's?" He winked and I nodded.
"Oh Jesus so good!" I moaned again.
"Stop moaning." Ryder said.
"Why?" I said taking a drink of water.
"My imagination gets really crazy sometimes." He smirked.
"Perv." I rolled my eyes. The dinner went well, actually great. It wasn't awkward. It was like Ryder and I were the best of friends.
After dinner, we went for a stroll in the park.
How romantic huh?"Remember that day when you asked me if I had any siblings?" He blurted.
"Yeah." I said remembering the day at the beach.
"Well I have an answer for you." He said and I nodded.
"I do have a sibling." He sighed.
My eyes widened."W-what? You have a sibling? What, how? I thought you were an only child." I said trying to think of all those conversations in school.
"I have a sister. An older sister. My parents didn't tell me about her until I was about ten." He said.
"Wait. If you didn't know where she was, where was she?" I said and he chuckled.
"She was with my dad's brother. Yeah, turns out I have an uncle." He said
"Uncle?"
"Yeah. It's a long story. Well my sister, her name is Acacia. She's twenty one." He sighed as we sat down on a bench.
"I first met her when I was ten. When my parents explained that I had a sister, but she couldn't be with me. I remember being upset with my parents for months, until I met Acacia. I instantly felt that bond between siblings. She was thirteen, but she started telling me how she was happy to finally meet her brother." He smiled.
"Who knows about her?" I asked.
"The guys, and Nancy. They're the only ones." He said.
"Where is she now?" I asked. He went silent. He was thinking and his hands turned into fists. He glared into space.
"What's wrong?" I asked concerned.
"Nothing." He spat.
