8. ZORO YOU PSYCHO!!!

    Naomi stands at the centre of the Going Merry, expecting eyes locked on her form. She fidgets with her fingers as her eyes dart around in helplessness.

    'What the hell am I supposed to do?!'

    Perhaps sensing her dilemma, the crew's archaeologist turns towards her young captain who restlessly looking at the newcomer with undisguised excitement and curiosity.

    "Captain-san, I think our mystery girl does not know how to use her powers," Robin concludes. Luffy lets out a loud whine.

    "Ehhh?!?!?! But you just have to do it! Like... WHAM!" Luffy demonstrates to the dimension jumper as he stretches his rubbery arms. Despite knowing his powers and seeing it through the screen multiple times, Naomi's dark round eyes widen in surprise and awe. Her curious eyes trail the length of his rubbery arms in fascination. To see it in front of her is a complete matter entirely!

    Nami watches the awestruck girl with a smile.

    "Luffy here ate the Gomu-Gomu no mi, making him a rubberman. Besides him, Chopper and Robin are also Devil Fruit users," the orange-haired navigator points the two in question. Chopper raises his hoofed arm in the air, a bright smile on his furry face.

    "I ate the Hito-Hito no mi! It allows me to be a human-reindeer hybrid," the young doctor said in his cute voice. Robin crosses her arms, palms facing her face.

    "I ate the Hana-Hana no mi. I can make any parts of my body sprout from anywhere like a flower," As she explains, multiple hands decorate the railing of the Going Merry. Naomi turns her head when she felt a tap on her shoulder, only to let out a shocked gasp when she sees a fair hand poking it, sprouting from her back. The arm disappears, leaving behind flower petals akin to sakura petals.

    "That's so cool!" Naomi exclaims, eyes starry as she stares at the older female. Robin only giggled in response.

    The black-haired girl looks at her hands curiously, wondering about her own unknown power.

    "But how can I activate mine? Do you have some tips or something? Do I have to yell something out?" 

    "We don't have Devil Fruit powers so you should ask Luffy, Robin and Chopper," Usopp scratches the back of his curly head. 

    "Eh? But you just do it! Like diisss..." Luffy pulls on his cheeks, slurring his speech. Chopper nods his head in agreement. Usopp and the others sweatdrop.

    "... On second thought, just asks Robin..." 

    Robin lets out a hum, her long fingers on her chin in thought. Her equally dark eyes stare at the girl before her. "Every Devil Fruit has a different way of activating, depending on what power the user obtained. From what I've read, Logia-users feel something different with their bodies since their power normally changes the atomic structure of their bodies according to the fruit. Zoan-type users have higher animal instincts and the first shift might be a bit uncomfortable and hard to control since they have two forms, 'Half Transformation' and 'Complete Transformation. Paramecia-users on the other hand varies since a lot of power falls under Paramecia. I don't really remember how I first used my ability but, with enough focus, I think you can activate it."

    'Focus, huh...'

    Naomi tries to focus on the feeling of her body. She does feel a bit light-headed but that's probably because of the portal. Next, she focuses on trying to change and shoot anything with her hands, but nothing happened. She pouts, her eyebrows furrow in disappointment.
