7. Meet the Strawhats!

    "Vivi~...." The trio of Luffy, Usopp and Sanji sighed out. Their forms sprawled on the wooden deck of the Going Merry, depressed lines evident.

    "Knock it off already! It's been a week!" Came the annoyed cry of their first mate, Roronoa Zoro, who got distracted with his training from the constantly depressed aura emitting from the trio.

    "Yeah, quit it already. It's distracting- Oh, and Sanji-Kun, can I have a strawberry sundae please~?" The crew's navigator, Nami cooed. Instantly, the once depressed man sprung up from his position and began to do a lovestruck dance.

    "Yes, Nami-swaaannnn~!" Was the last thing heard before his form disappeared into the kitchen.

    "Ero-cook." Zoro muttered in annoyance with their newest crew member, Nico Robin, letting out an amused chuckle.

    "Sanji! I want one too!" Their captain, Strawhat Luffy, suddenly sat up with a loud cry, depressed aura gone. His sniper, Usopp, also sat up, asking for a chocolate one while the ship's doctor, Chopper, ordered for a cotton candy-flavoured one. A muffled 'DO IT YOURSELF' could be heard from the closed kitchen door.

    This is the daily life of those in the Strawhat Pirates ever since the Alabasta incident almost a week ago. The crew had been sailing in relative peace without any ships or islands in sight. Things have started to get dull on the Going Merry and with the sea emitting blazing heat for the past days, not much can be done to relieve their boredom.

Or so they thought...

    "Ara ara...." Nami glanced towards the only other female member on the ship.

    "What is it, Robin?" She inquired. She jumped in surprise when Zoro suddenly stand up with a hand on one of his swords. Both of them were warily watching the sky.

    Nami glanced up and shrieked when she saw the massive black hole hovering on top of the Going Merry. The other members also stood up and gathered on deck, staring at the hole.

    "What the hell is that?" Sanji muttered to himself, eyes glaring at the object in question. The black hole only swirled like a vortex with no signs of a threat or attack.

    The crew had different reactions to its sudden appearance. Luffy was looking at it with a starry gaze. Zoro, Sanji, Robin and Nami were on the defensive, warily eyeing the hole with Zoro and Nami holding onto their respective weapons. Usopp was shakily holding his slingshot behind a large barrel while Chopper was 'attempting' to hide behind another one but with his body in plain view.

    "Something's coming!" The swordsman yelled out after seeing a shadow of an object(?) falling down from the massive hole. Everyone readied themselves for whatever was to come.

    "Wait... That is.." Sanji trailed off and the crew could finally see that the shadow is actually a silhouette of an unconscious girl. Her body was rapidly falling to the hard surface of the deck. Before anyone could blink, a figure rushed past them and towards the falling girl.

    The young girl's figure was safely caught in the arms of their cook, Sanji. The majority of the crew let their guards down and began to approach them warily when out of nowhere, a small chest descended from the swirling vortex above, painfully landing on top of the cook's blond head.

    An awkward silence settled on the Going Merry, none able to comprehend what the hell had just occurred. The silence was broken by a soft chant of 'a fallen angel... A fallen angel..'. Immediately, chaos ensued with the crew either panicking, in awe, confusedly screaming or just doing nothing.
