"Leyla?" he asked confusedly. He blinked a couple of times like he was dreaming that I was here.

"Yes Liam, it's me and I'm here."

"But, what are you doing here?"

"Well, I want to work."

"What? You want to work? Why?" he asked.

"Well, someone has been talking behind me that I'm like someone who has lost hope. And plus, I don't want people to think that I only married you for money." I said while refusing to make eye contact with him.

He sighed and got up from his chair, clearly now he knows what I'm talking about. He walked towards me and I waited uneasily for his reaction. He placed both of his hands on my shoulders and held my chin up so that I would look at him in the eye.

"Leyla, listen to me! I don't care if other people wants to talk bad things of you because you have nothing to worry about, I'm here for you. You can tell me anything, you hear me?" I nodded. I was thunderstrucked by his words that I couldn't even form any words from my mouth.

And to surprise me even more, he hugged me.

"And you can't work." he demanded.

We were still hugging when his secretary came in, "I'm sorry to interrupt, sir."

He released me from the hug and looked at her secretary, "That's fine. Clear my schedule for the rest of the day."

"Yes, sir."

She went back outside and I felt disappointed that he released me from the hug. I felt so safe in his arms.

He walked towards his chair and took his blazer and held my hand in his as we made our way outside.

Only when we're on the elevator did I asked him, "Where are we going?"

"Consider it as a date." and he smiled at me.

A date? He must be kidding me! But he doesn't really look like he was kidding, did he? I don't know, he's always so serious.

We stepped out of the elevator and walked hand in hand towards the main entrance. Everyone was staring at us but it doesn't look like it had affected Liam as he remain expressionless. The receptionist gave me a dirty look like I've stolen something precious from her. I smirked at her because this man that is walking beside me is my husband and no one can take him away from me. Man, that feels good!

His car was waiting outside and he opened my side of the door and I smiled at him as I went inside.

He was driving when he asked, "So, where do you want to go?"

"It's been a long time since I've had foods that aren't healthy."

"So, what are you implying?"

"Let's go to Mcdonald's!" I said excitedly.

"Okay."

"Really, okay? You don't want to eat in one of those fine dining restaurants where they serve you food that is as small as my knuckle?"

He laughed and said, "No."

"Okay, but you're not going to eat in Mcdonald's while wearing a suit, are you?"

"What do you mean?"

"Stop here."

He parked on the side and I went out and I looked back at him to tell him to come outside too. He went out dashingly and all the women were looking at him. I can't let this happen.

I linked my arm in his to somehow tell all the women to back off because he is mine and I told Liam, "Come on, don't be shy."

In response, he just looked at me like I've grown two heads.
