Against the current

She learned to swim

Only to be defeated by the overwhelming tide

It gets harder to breathe as she tries to fight against the stream

Screaming for help makes her suffocate

And she's realized that there's no way to come out alive

Just a matter of time until the water fills up her lungs

But she still refuses to sink

So she keeps her mouth shut to stay afloat
