Jayda's POV
It was 3:30 in the morning.
Oh no! I'm going to be late.
I showered as quick as lightning and wore something basic as usual. My mom told me to dress up and smell nice for once, but i couldn't care less . I had to help my family in order to keep our fishing business afloat.
Hours flew by so fast that i totally forgot about school.
I was late and cycled like crazy. Pedestrians that i passed by gave me disgusted looks as i smelt like garbage. The thing is, I don't have time to shower . If i did, i might as well not attend school.
But the worst part is that, it's my first day of school. My family and i had to shift houses due to financial problems. I was fine that we we're shifting houses. Being the new student at school was the problem. I made some friends back at my previous school. It took me years and patience to build our friendship. Imagine it going all to waste as i'm changing schools.
Aargh!!! What a year!!!!!
I was just in time when the school bell rang. My body was drenched in sweat that i had to take off my jacket. Thank god i wore a shirt inside.
I rushed to the school office and pleaded for a school map as i was unfamiliar with the place. One thing for sure was that this school was way bigger than my previous one. I spent half an hour searching my class. I was dying in the inside as i knew there was nothing worse than entering a class late. I was about to give up searching my class till i bumped into a girl i saw earlier at the front gate. She insisted on helping me find my class. Thanks to her I eventually found my class. To my surprise, she entered to the same classroom as me.
''Sorry I'm late,'' I stuttered to my new class teacher.
''Don't worry. You're not even the last one to arrive. Lots of you ''new students'' get lost on the first day.'' She gestured to an empty chair in front of her.
I sank into it and avoided eye contact with the people who sat opposite. I've never been this shy my entire life.
''As I was saying,'' she continued, my name's Ruby and i'm your class teacher for the next 12 months.'' She looked young, with auburn hair and turquoise dress. ''You're lucky, i'm pretty damn cool.''
The class laughed self-consciously and i looked up to take everyone in.
The door burst open and a boy with blonde hair and hazel green eyes appeared on the threshold. Is this A19?'' he asked sarcastically, not seeming to care how everyone's heads had craned in his direction.
''Yes, It is indeed,'' Ruby said. ''Sit down, sit down.''
He smiles, pausing to exchange glances with me. He then waves at me. Excuse me?? Why me!!?! My cheeks turned so red. The classes realizes my face and starts teasing me..
