Mornings in Hawkins were always the worst; the cold breeze of fall playing on Marcy's face, as she bicycled to school; the worst place she could be at the moment. Her eyes burned from the sensation of air hitting her face so hard, and it wasn't really a good morning to see so many kids outside of the school; pretty unfair for her social anxiety. Marcy looked around, trying to spot a familiar blonde in the process, but he wasn't seen anywhere yet. Marcy's heart started to pound anxiously, making her drawn in fear. He was always there at this time, with his bike already in front of the school.

A roaring sound of engine made everyone glance at the blue Camaro near the school, someone jumping out with their skateboard and pulling out a middle finger at whoever was driving the car. Max. She really likes showing her middle finger..

Marcy felt a hand on her shoulder, turning around to see no other than Cooper, who had a disheveled look on his face, his hair was a mess and he wore the most annoyed face he ever could.

"I'm tired."

Marcy's face turned into one of annoyance, knowing exactly why he looked like this. She sighed and started to get her bike in front of the school, but careful for Troy or James to not see, or she would have to walk home. Again.

"I forgot to take my bike's lock's key with me; so my brother took it and cycled to school instead of waiting for my sister," Cooper groaned and opened his locker, which was successfully placed right next to Marcy's. "So then my sister had to drive me to school! and you know how she drives; terrible." He sighed and leaned on the locker as he waited for his best friend to finish looking for her book.

"Woah! that's so shocking," Marcy said sarcastically, due to how she would never listen to Cooper's complaints, at which he rolled his eyes.

"Hey, isn't that Max?," Cooper asked, a hint of teasing visible in his voice, which wasn't gone unnoticed by Marceline. She glanced at the redhead from the corner of her eye and watched how she was looking for something in the locker. She did mention that she was new, arriving from California, so it was pretty natural for her to be looking in the schedule and the locker.

Marcy was looking at her longer than she expected; so she panicked and loudly closed the locker, her face flushing red from embarrassment. She never had any girl friends, all of them were male, which was actually pretty convenient for her, as they always talked about them. Not always, but sometimes.

Some of the so known 'masculine passions' were mutual to her own, as she was also interested in women and video games, though, she thought it was pretty normal for girls to like whatever boys did. That's what Cooper told her every time, so she believed her best friend, unlike her family, who were very strict and annoying most of the time, who also believed old-fashioned things which weren't really popular these days.
