Story Prompt: Summer midnight movie hang before Vegas.

I believe ch1234ar requested this one-shot many months ago, and I'm so sorry it's taken me so long! But I was finally able to sit down and write it! :)

I was hearing one of my favorite songs by Bruno major this week called "nothing" which inspired this idea, but it wasn't until I watched the notebook last night that this whole story came to mind. I decided to take it and run with it and see what came of it.

Honestly, this is me procrastinating from writing the other book, but what a better distraction than a one-shot! :) LOL

Anyway happy reading and if I get distracted again and don't feel like writing the other book, there might be another one-shot later this week! :)

"Oh come on, you can't leave us this early! It's not even eight!". JJ whined looking over at the clock seeing that it was only half-past six. "The nights still young,". Spencer smiled. "I would love to stay but I'd already beat you in FIFA at least five times,". JJ raised his hand showing the exact number Spencer won.

"It was four, to be exact!". Spencer shrugged. "I wish I could, but as I told you, I got plans I can't bail on. I made a promise I have to keep,".

Spencer grabbed his overnight bag he packed just before leaving his house and coming to JJ's. Walking back over to the couch he gave each of the boys a handshake and said his goodbyes. JJ groaned looking over to Jordan who was swiping through his pictures already missing Simone.

"Aren't you going to like, I don't know help me out?". Jordan let out a long sigh half-listening as he lay on the couch scrolling through his phone looking at pictures of his girlfriend. "If Simone was in town, I'd be over at her house. But since she's not...I'm stuck here,". JJ scrunched his eyebrows taking offense to what Jordan just said. "Hey!". Jordan just shrugged it off changing the subject.

"Do you think if I'd call Simone for the third time in the same hour is a bit too much or not enough?". He turned to see the reaction of his friends. Their faces were enough to know what their answer would be. "Okay. Got it. I'll wait another hour then,". Spencer sighed shaking his head.

"J, didn't Simone leave for the weekend to give you two space? You've both been tied to the hip since you've been all in,". Jordan sighed. "Yes, but Spence she's seven months pregnant. I can't just not call her. Don't you call Layla?". Spencer placed his hand on Jordan's shoulder. "Not every minute of every day. Let her breathe, J. It's okay to take breaks from each other every once in a while. It's healthy,".

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. Go have fun doing whatever you and my sister do,". Jordan grumbled when JJ's jaw went slack. "Wait. That's your big plans?! You're going to go hang out with Liv?! Why didn't you just say that? Call her and tell her to come here and join boys' night,". Jordan groaned. "JJ the point of boys' night is to not have girls over,". JJ pointed to Jordan's phone.

"And yet here you are scrolling through your phone looking at pictures of Simone? So why not invite Liv over and we don't lose Spencer for the night? It's a win-win,". JJ smiled at his genius plan that the boys quickly turned down. "Man, what's the point of being in this friendship if all of you keep turning down my great ideas?".

"Because they're not great ideas,". Jordan rolled his eyes while JJ threw his hands up half annoyed. "Man, whatever,". Jordan and Spencer both looked at each other before sharing a laugh. "You good JJ?". Spencer asked while his friend just mumbled under his breath saying that he was fine, even though Spencer could tell he was a little hurt. "Oh come on!". JJ yelled at the screen as he was shot by another opponent playing Call of Duty.
