The kidnapping

Like I said before, trouble's no trouble to me. Well, maybe certain death might be just a little bit of trouble on the next level. I was coming home from school one day, and all of a sudden, a white van pulled up beside me on a deserted side street. There were two middle-age guys inside, who looked like they had been wrestlers.

One guy said in a growling voice,"Hey kid, you want some candy?"

I replied,"Well, I don't take candy from strangers, and you classify as a stranger, and well, quite strange." Sadly, the man did not take this comment very well.

He said in a hostile, harsh voice,"Get in the van now or I will make you get in."

Oh, if this guy thinks he can tell me to get in the back of his van, he's got another thing coming for him.

I told him in my boldest voice," You really think you can tell me to do what you want me to do? Well, there's no way I'm going down without a fight. You don't even know my name."

"Oh, we know much more about you then you think we do, William Woods," the man said with a cunning smile. That's when I knew the trouble was starting, for real trouble. Not just being bullied, or worried. This was real trouble. I tried to make a run for it, but I was no match for his stocky build. Then, he had a gun in his hands and the gun was definitely aimed at me. All of a sudden, my best friend, Maya, was running towards me from behind the guy. Usually, Maya and I walk home together because our houses are in the same neighborhood. She had told me that she would catch up with me today because she had to talk to somebody. Suddenly, she kicked the guy in the back and he crumpled in pain. Dang, Maya could not have had better timing. She all of a sudden fell to the ground. The other man had shot her in the back. Great. Then, a third man grabbed me from behind and forced me into the van. He slammed my head into the side of the work van, and the last thing I remembered was the guy shoving Maya into the van with me, and then I blacked out.
