"There you two are, we were wondering if you were ever going to make it back" Antonio said as Ezio split off and made his way to the stage, Teodora and Antonio looking at me as he did. I hoped they hadnt seen the kiss Ezio had given me before we got up here.

"The crowd was difficult to get through" I said as we all turned our attention to the stage with the announcer, Ezio, and one other man.

"Signore e Signori the games of Carnevale have come to a glorious conclusion! Come see our winner claim his golden mask" The man called out as everyone cheered. I didnt like the bad feeling I got while he was up their, this was going to not end as we hoped. I knew it deep down. Silvio held up the mask for all to see. "Our winner has proven himself the fleetest of foot, the strongest of champions, the wisest strategist- and clearly a favorite of the ladies. With four games one lealmente the winner of the golden mask is-" (fair and square)

"Ahem" Silvio coughed as the host seemed to forget and change his mind.

"Hurensohn!  Ich wusste, dass sie das tun würden" I growled causing the two to glance at me. (Son of a bitch! I knew they'd do this)

"The winner of the Golden Mask is Dante Moro" The host called. Just as he did Ezio stepped back and Dante came up, still not happy about the beating Ezio gave him.

"Congratulations. We'll see you this evening" Silvio said as he shook his hand and gave him the mask. I clenched my fist, I was not happy at all. Immediately I turned around, making my way back to the brothel to clear my head. As soon as I saw Silvio I should have known that he was going to bribe the host to get what he wanted, but I wasn't to sure if he knew it was Ezio or it was just some old fool who wanted to go to the Doge's party. What hadn't made sense was that Dante had been Marco's guard- he would have already been allowed into the party, so why did he compete? Once inside the brothel I punched the wall hard, putting a nice fist sized hole in it, a slight sting coming from it. This night had been to much for me, I was overcome with to many emotions at night and I didn't know what to do.

"What happened to the wall?" Antonio asked, pulling me out if my thoughts as all of them looked at me with concerned. I pushed it aside as I tried to calm myself down.

"I punched it" I said as I clenched my hand. They all looked startled.

"You punched a hole. In the brick" Antonio asked in shock as I grabbed my pouch and handed it to Teodora.

"I punched far worse growing up, nothing hurts my hand and the brick isnt the hardest thing I have punched. Here, to fix the wall" I said. Teodora only held the money as she and I looked at Ezio while Antonio looked at the hole in wonder and contemplation.

"Sorry Ezio, we could not have known Silvio would cheat as he did" Teodora said

"But we should have assumed he would, they're all snakes here, every last one of them" I hissed.

"Do you always prepare for the worst?" Antonio asked.

"I think of all possibilities good and bad so I have no room for error. If I know then I can plan ahead for it."

"Sister! You told us to let you know if you saw that rottinculo who stole the golden mask? He's in his way to the Doge's party" A courtesan cried as she rushed in, looking at all of us wildly. (Cocksucker).

"I will go. I can catch him before he arrives and take back the mask-" Ezio said as Antonio cut in.

"How? By killing the poor Stronzo"

"You're pushing it Antonio" I warned as I cast him a glare.
