Dinner was over, he had left, and she wasn't doing the dishes. At least, not yet.
Today in the hospital she had fighting gods and goddesses who were part of the city's defense force. Claw marks from each other's and their own fingernails had torn their skin, their knives were bloodied with each other's blood, and they all still were unconscious at the hospital.

Now the city was launching a major investigation-after Ino found out what happened to them.

of course, the best would be out on the team, which meant Naruto, Ino, Sasuke, Neji...but not her.
After all, I can't just ask to be reranked randomly.
But, she didn't want them going alone-or without her.
I mean I may not be much help, but...

She returned her mind to the problem at hand.
Something had happened to those people, something so bad that they had tried to kill each other. And she knew from the lack of the other team members at the hospital some of them had succeeded.
Could she follow the team?
No, there was they chance they would think she was an attacker, not to mention everyone would think she was an idiot.

Why had she ever left ANBU?
Yes, at the time Sasuke had been a jerk, but she shouldn't have stopped doing what she liked, to have a clear enemy ahead of her and to train and get stronger.

Well, training out on a field wasn't the only way to get stronger. Now, I have to do the dishes soon-but her patients that day were on her mind-eh, i can do them later.
She left the dishes on the table, and went to her books in her room. The sun was setting, highlighting the clouds.
Her bookcases took up half of her room, the space in between them filled with books she couldn't fit on the shelves.
Maybe there is a thing such as too many books-but I'm not at that yet, I still have room left.
She sat in the center of her room, the books around her, and began to read.
All that night, a light could be seen in her room.

The next morning she, (after a nap) went to the hospital to see how her patients were doing. And she had a suspicion of what had happened to them-she just needed proof. Sakura walked in the front doors.
They should be waking up, if they haven't already-she stopped. Right inside the doors, surrounding her stood full combat armored ANBU stood, and more filled in behind her.
Something was wrong here
"What's this?" She made her body language relaxed, but found her seal release.
No answer.
No answer is the answer given when it is an assassination.
She scanned the faces of those surrounding her, looking for someone else who knew this was wrong.
She found the faces of her friends, naruto, Neji, Lee, Hinata, blank.
She found his face, blank,

just like when he ignored me

Just like when her hurt me.
Why was it that whenever i have something good happen, something takes it away?

Whoever had done this was going to get hell.

She knew that trying to talk someone out of a illusion technique only worked in the sappy romance novels Kakashi read.

Even if she ran, she would have to fight some of them off sometime-and she would have to get out of the circle first.

So she released her seal, and got ready to fight.
