Sakura looked up to see Ino covered in flowers and dust.
"Hey Ino, sorry." Ino glared at sakura.
"Sorry? Just sorry? You were terrifying. Oh, and I deserve chocolate to make up for the injuries I got."
"What injuries? You pig, you just take any opportunity to make me buy you things."
"Pretty much, yeah." Ino smirked. "But shouldn't we be going now and beating up whoever the hell did this?" Ino took off. "And sakura, you better catch up!"
Sakura ran after her.
"Ino-pig!"

They ran along the road.
"I did some research last night-about the ANBU squad-and I think it's Itachi."
Ino was serious for once.
"Sakura? Are you sure?"
"Yeah." Sakura said, the words as heavy as the implications they carried. "It's the former God of illusion."
They both lapsed into silence.

Sasuke will die if we didn't kill Itachi before he regains his full power. After Sasuke killed him the first time, she would kill him again.

He will die.

Stop it Sakura, he's not dead yet.

That you know of, a little voice in the back of her head said.

You have time. Your research said it takes around three days-so assuming he took a day to be able to overpower them all and put them in his illusion, we have one day left.
And then, by putting Naruto, Neji, Hinata, Lee, and Sasuke under an illusion, itachi made it longer for him to gain all his power back. Why would he do that seemingly to to kill her.
Wait...

"I think I know why he put them all under an illusion," said sakura, breaking the
"What?"
"I said, I think I-"
"I said what as in tell me what it is, you moron." Ino rolled her eyes in exasperation.
"I think Itachi wanted me."
Ino got it right away.
"You mean he might be hurt, and needs to be healed?"
"Yeah. At least if I'm right, he will be hurt, and it should be easier to beat him."

They ran for a few more minutes in silence until Ino spoke.
"Sakura?" She sounded like she was trying not to laugh.
"Eh?"
"I mean, we are running fast, and making good time, but where are we going?"
