I groaned as I rolled over in the bed. An alarm was going off and it was loud as hell. Sitting up and looking over, I saw Amani still sleeping peacefully. Considering the alarm was probably hers, I decided to wake her up.

"Yo" I shook her body.

"Mani get up"

"Amani!" she soon rolled over on her back and rubbed her eyes.

"What?" she asked groggily.

Sexy ass voice.

"Yo alarm going off shorty. Don't you got things to do today? I asked her.

"Yea" she sat up and grabbed her phone to turn off the alarm. "My bad if it woke you up

"You straight" I shrugged because it really didn't matter foreal.

She nodded before standing up, "You can take me home?"

"Fasho"

Mani walked out of my room and went to go get her things together. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. As I finished brushing my teeth, I glanced at the pills in the medicine cabinet.

Ever since I was 13 I was diagnosed with PTSD, bipolar disorder, and explosive disorder. I had pills to take for each and I have been taking them faithfully. I didn't want a repeat of the last time I stopped taking my pills.

"You ready?" I heard Mani ask as she stood in the doorway of my bathroom.

"Yea" I nodded and closed the medicine cabinet before following her out of the room and to the car.

"What you gon do today?" Mani looked at me as she put her seatbelt on.

"I got a couple moves to make and then I'll probably go with Saint and nem to go to the hospital later on. Might go get my hair done" I looked up in the mirror at the messy ponytail that was placed on the back of my head.

"Lemme do it"

"Do what? My hair?" I chuckled.

"Yea" she nodded and reached up to touch my ponytail. "What you be getting done to it?"

"Braided most of the time"

"Well I can do it later. I think I only got like 4 or 5 clients today"

"Aight fasho" I glanced at her and seen her smiling.

I liked how she had something going for herself. Most females rather be laid up with a nigga or somewhere popping pussy. Mani like to get to the money, just like me.

"Why can't I call you Kassan?" she put her phone down and looked me.

Only person that ever really called me Kassan was my mom. The only woman I loved. I now regret even telling Mani my whole name.
