"What's wrong with y'all?" I asked, walking into Leek's house. It was 5:30 and I had literally just got done with my last client. Everyone had these sad looks on their faces and Ziair wasn't here. I looked around the room and seen Nia sitting in one of the chairs, her belly starting to poke.
The fuck?
"Y'all gon tell her?" Demon looked up from his phone with these low red eyes.
Tell me what? What the fuck?
"Somebody better fuckin say something before I get pissy" I snapped.
"Ziair in the hospital" Tay finally said.
"What?" I asked, my voice cracking a little. "What happened?"
"He was in a car accident" Tay told me.
I could feel my face start to get hot and tears start to cloud my eyes.
"Well what are they saying?"
"We was at the hospital earlier and they told us to come back in a few hours because he was going into in surgery. It was bad mani" Tay spoke, not meeting my eyes.
I nodded and walked back out to my car when my tears started to flow. I couldn't lose my brother.
I unlocked my car and heard Leek call my name, causing me to turn around. He was standing on the porch with Tay and Kassan next to him.
"Where you finna go?" Leek asked.
"To the hospital"
"Mani you gon be in the waiting roo-"
"I don't care" I waved him off and climbed into my car before seeing Tay and Kassan walk off the porch and towards me.
"What?" I mugged them both rolling down my window.
"Lemme come witchu" Kassan said causing Tay to glance at him. I nodded and he walked over to the other side to get in the passenger seat.
"Be safe Amani, we gon come back up there later" Tay told me and I nodded. He kissed my forehead and turned around to go back into the house.
Tay and I fucked around with each other a few years ago but we decided we were better off as friends. Still got a lot of love for him though.
"Y'all cute" Kassan said as I pulled off.
"Shut up. I don't have time for the bullshit right now" I put my hand up before wiping my tears.
"Why is you speeding yo?" he mugged me and pulled his seatbelt on.
