They are utterly disgusting, the way they laugh and snort at a Gryffindor's jokes. They're absolutely revolting, how they never quite hide their body shape behind the robes. Nothing about them should be redeeming and yet, they plague my thoughts. I know I should be focused on our goal, the wizarding future.  I can't sit around like a lovesick fool especially not over a person like them. A muggle-born waste of magic.

Speak of the problem and it shall appear. "Tom! Didn't expect to see you here. What are you studying?" You whispered louder than you probably realized. "Dark Arts... Stop speaking to me, annoying mutt." Why did I answer that question? Merlin, Focus on the material. "Oh, I love learning all spells but those that aren't to be used are the most fun." You muttered softly setting your own materials near me, getting comfortable in the area. "Excuse me, Leave." You ignored me actively and I reach for your wrist. You swing your arm forward grabbing my hand tightly, your eyes wild and suddenly threatening. "I don't need a wand, Riddle, I suggest you leave the bad boy act for your little snake posse. If you truly hate me, speak up otherwise we will continue to spend time together as often as we meet at each other." You gently released my hand and I did something I rarely did. I smiled. A genuine expression of joy, one that seemed to shock you. I nodded, " You're brave, or stupid, either way it's amusing." You returned the smile with a shrug before opening your books. Time passed away quietly with small jokes and bad puns that received half chuckles. Dinner time came around and you packed your things away, "Would you like to get dinner with me? I know you usually take dinner with your Slytherin posse but...I like to think I'm not bad company."  I looked up at you, my body reacting to your presence alone. "I've never cared for dinner," I watched your face fall before finishing my answer, " But I suppose the Dark Arts won't go anywhere for an hour or so." You smiled shyly before holding your hand to me. I accepted it easily. Maybe my future included you, how could I truly know? I've never cared before.
