After school Daichi was showing the line up for the practice match, and not everyone was in love. I was the libero, Kageyama was the setter, Tsukishima was a middle, and Hinata was a MIDDLE?! "I am all for taking chances, but this is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. He is short, slow, has no technique, and is in the busiest position on the court. He has no idea on how to block. At this point he might as well be a libero!" I stood up and shouted at him.

I stormed out of the room as I heard someone get up behind me.

{Daichi's POV}

I knew it was a risk presenting this rotation, especially with the new information I've gathered about Park. I carefully turned around the board. The first years were sighing, but I saw how angry Park was, and I knew exactly why. This rotation could make or break us. It would decide if we are going to be the laughing stocks again this year. As she shot up and started yelling I knew I should have showed her prior, but I was scared of this exact thing happening.

After she left I told Suga to take it from here and I jogged after her to explain my reasoning.

{Nakano's POV}

I jogged over to the workout room and went straight to the punching bag, and started to punch all of my feelings out. I kept going even after I heard the door open, and in one last punch I knocked the bag off of the hook. After I hung it back up I turned around to Daichi.

"I have a lot of faith in the team's ability, but that is downright idiotic. I'm not saying this because I am the best female libero in Japan, I am saying this because anyone with a head can see the issue. He doesn't know proper timing or hand placement. He doesn't understand he will have to jump earlier than everyone else so his hands will be the same height. What happens if we play Date Tech, Aone will crush him. Hinata doesn't even know spiking technique he relies completely on Kageyama's accuracy. Which quite frankly, can't be constantly relied on. He can barely do a basic receive let alone a tip or a one-touch. We are third years I can't lose my last chance to this," I said.

"I am doing the best I can, but you need to calm the hell down," he firmly replied starting to get frustrated. "This is my last year that I can play volleyball Daichi, I have to go to nationals at least once," I said as desperately as I possibly could. "But you still have one year of high school left?" He asked confused. "I have high enough grades to graduate next year. This is my last chance to go to nationals Daichi and I can't lose it." "Shiratorazowa went to Nationals last year," Daichi replied confused. "Coach wouldn't let me go to play so I stayed at the school and watched on the TV," I replied looking down, "This is truly my last chance." After I said that I left.

We walked back into the gym to see that Hinata has already started to crack under the pressure of being a middle. He calmed down enough to finish practice.

I walked straight home since I didn't have work and started to look through different insurance papers and bills that were due. After some thoughts I dropped our auto and home insurance and put a for sale sign on our car. After I made the calls it was about 9 and I looked through different websites and found one that would buy the car for $20,000. I smiled knowing how great that deal is since the car barely runs.

I was walking to school the next day when I heard a familiar voice behind me. I could recognize the voice from 20 miles away. He was my first love, first kiss, first cuddle, and first everything. I couldn't turn around because if I did I would be back in his arms again. "I'm guessing you heard the news?" I asked him not even turning around. "I did and I wanted to congratulate you on this accomplishment," he said in the nicest way possible.

"Well, this is the only school in the Miyagi prefecture that would accept me, so it could be worse I guess," I said as I shrugged. "What do you mean it was the only school that would accept you? Every school in Japan wanted you on their team last year? What happened?" he asked in rapid succession. I quickly turned around and faced him, and I was only a few inched shorted than him, "When you get expelled from the best school in the prefecture, people start to talk. That caused multiple rumors to spread, and none of them were pretty at all. Karasuno decided to take a chance since I threw Ukai's name around, but that barely worked."

"What were the rumors?" he asked. "Go find your boyfriend and ask him. He knows all about them since he has dealt with this type of stuff before," I spat as I walked away. "Wait! Park!" He reached out to me as I was leaving, "How is your mother? I haven't seen her in ages?" He asked. "She has a cold right now, but besides that she is doing great," I replied as I pulled my hand out from his grasp, "Goodbye." "Goodbye Park," he said over his shoulder as he left.

Once I saw he left I changed directions to hurry and catch the bus out to my safe haven, Ukai's gym. I could always count on him for a place to crash, he had a major soft spot for me. So, at 6:30 at night, with a messy bun, and tear stains I stood outside on his porch ringing his doorbell. After a few seconds I heard him yell that the door is open. "Kid, you really gotta make some friends," he said as he motioned to his workout room. "I do have friends," I retorted. "Ok, who?" He asked as he grabbed a few weights for me. "My best friend is that brand new dumbbell right there," I said with the straightest face that I could muster. We both burst out laughing and spent the whole night working out and talking about our lives.
