Chapter 7: New Beginnings

"Yo." Tae Joon glances towards the new legends on the drop ship.  A new Apex Season has begun after a long year hiatus.

Horizon, overall excited scientistic and surprisingly a really great mom figure for all young legends

Fuse, an Aussie, yet like Rampart, way too enthusiastic about artillery and anything that explodes or shoots bullets.

Valkyrie a.k.a Kairi, the daughter of non other than Blisk's famous Apex Predator, VIPER. (He's dead though, but like father like daughter, she doesn't let his legacy down)

And last but not least, probably up there in famous with Mirage, Seer. Another techie that only intimidates Bloodhound and Path. But not Crypto. He's ready to showdown their skills and come out on top.

"I'm Crypto, just Crypto, no nicknames." He points out after it being revealed that Crypto lied about being 30 and is actually 22. One year older than Wattson.

"You can't call me kid anymore that's for sure!" Mirage yells from lounging around in his favorite chair.

"Whatever you say, old man." Crypto sticks out his tongue

Mirage starts to get up and cross over.

"Friends, please."
Seer remarks

"No, no dearie, don't worry about them lot, this is a regular rivalry, all fun an' game!"

Mirage rolls his eyes and sits back down.

No one likes a liar apparently. Especially Mirage. They bonded during the Caustic incident and everyone else, including Wraith, decided to stay out of the legal action. Wattson and Crypto were interviewed as well as Lifeline for calling cause of death. No charges were pressed but Crypto went through a stage of grief when Wattson told Crypto she'd met with his adoptive mother, Mystik, in the hospital and confirmed Alexander Nox was her biological son. He didn't open up to Wattson since, even waking up with her every morning did not dull his regret for killing part of his family and letting his mom grieve. Mystik didn't blame Crypto, she only blamed herself for not giving Alex the support he needed when he was in adolescence.

That being months ago, Crypto has learned to be more talkative around the legends but he's still a shy and cautious soul. Obviously, they still don't know the truth about Caustic's death or his past, except those involved with Caustic's death (Mirage, Wraith, Wattson, Gibraltar and Lifeline). Only Wattson knows his true name. Her Tae Joon Park.

After introducing himself to all the new legends,
Crypto silently slips around the corner to the restrooms in the back of the ship. He signals Wattson to follow him inauspiciously. The drop ship never had cameras and they weren't active till the drop initiated in another hour or so.

Crypto and Wattson had made a deal not to show any affection in front of the legends. They didn't want to be kicked off the games, but it was hard for them not to do something as little as hold hands. Blisk was watching. Always watching, especially now that Valkyrie was newly acquainted with Crypto and Wattson.
Valkyrie had her suspicions of them being together but she already told Crypto that it was none of her business and that she shot Blisk so., she gives zero fucks. Traditionally, Blisk would've been a father figure to Kairi, that was if he didn't let her father to die from free fall.

Crypto jogs to the back of the ship making Natalie run after him. He swiftly turns around and lifts her up and spins her around. She silently giggles and he smiles for the first time before leaving their apartment to meet at the Apex Headquarters for drop to World's Edge. Natalie's arms and legs are wrapped around her Crypto. He quickly makes for the men's locker room quarters and surveys the room to make sure no one comes in. He hacks the 'closed for cleaning' hologram on the entrance to make sure no one can witness what Crypto is about to show off. Wattson is quickly pinned against one of the lockers.

"Too bad you're too loud or I would make love to you here and now" Crypto smirks

"Hmm.. too bad indeed cause you seem to be all riled up." Wattson remarks, only blushing a little for defying his incomings.

Crypto places butterfly kisses all over her neck and exposed chest area. She lifts up his chin to meet her lips as they crash against the walls in affection. They weren't looking forward to the day they'd have to be thrusted back into arena life. It meant hiding your private life if you want to live.

Despite not being able to make love in such a public place, that doesn't stop Crypto from grinding his crotch up on hers. She moans a little from his tight pants rubbing on hers.
It's kind of sexy being in Apex gear and making out in secret.

Wattson can feel his devilish smile as they kiss and he's missed her so much from the night before they had to leave. They, of course, made love for the last time in their home before they had to live in their separate dormitories again. There would definitely be some sneaking around the dorms for them.. it'll be no problem for Crypto.

Crypto's tongue swept into Wattson mouth and intertwined with hers in a French kiss.
They squeezed each other in a hug and Crypto moved her across to the benches so he could climb on top of him.

They paused for a second of breath and Crypto looked up at her magnificent position over him. She blushes and leaned down to kiss him again, she messes up Crypto's hair and he doesn't mind it as she massages his scalp as they kiss passionately.

"We should probably stop soon" Wattson says
"Mmm-hmm." Crypto silently agrees.
He flips her over on the bench and she wraps her legs around him again as he slowly grinds onto his lover. "No thanks." He says in between kissing her cheeks and down jawline. Wattson is beet red now as he nibbles on her silk pale skin. Thankfully her gear covers her entire neck.

Crypto and Wattson lay around in private until the intercom sounds the legends to start prepping their gear in the main drop room.
They both hold hands until they're visible to the other Legends. Wattson suddenly and quickly kisses Crypto's cheek and he lets out a small blush before she runs off to find her squad. "Bon chance."

God I love her. If anything happens to her down there.
Crypto sighs and goes back to his distant and fearful demeanor.

"Let's go." He shouts to his squad, Wraith and Mirage look to one another and join him at his sides. He takes one last glimpse at Wattson. And she smiles at him.
