Saving Wattson

Chapter Four : Assurance

There would still be countless nights where Tae had to hold her in the middle of the night because she should shake in her sleep or she'd wake up screaming from a nightmare.

Her trauma was not letting her go. It had her by the throat and Crypto knew that all too well of his own experiences.

As Crypto shushed her as she slowly closed her dark circled eyes.

"Tae. . . I can't take it anymore."

"I know, nae sarang." He said as he massaged her scalp "I'm right here."

He grabbed her Nessie plush and stuck it under one of her arms. 

"Everything will get better" he smiled at her

She smiled widely "you rarely smile, Crypto, but when you do.. well.. it's magical to me."

He blushes a little and smirks to himself

"Go to sleep." He says

Wattson starts to whine and pulls Crypto on top of her.

"Are you afraid to be lonely?" She said looking up at her lover

"Ever since I met you and realized what I had, yeah." He said "I've never had anything in my life. I've never had money.. or a family or love or safety... until I found you."

He shifted his hands under her back and pulled her body closer to his. Their lips met gently.

Crypto couldn't help it; he pushed his lips against hers a little harder. She let out tiny whimpers against his lips. He was so gentle yet so rough and Wattson loved it. She never knew that the quiet new legend that stared at her in the dropship on his first day could be so passionate and loving. When their eyes first met, she could sense he was one with a troubled past. Wattson had always clinged to those types, but Crypto was a little different. Different in the sense of how far she fell for him. She had really fallen down the rabbit hole this time. The Apex Games were only a way for Wattson to become famous and support her friends, but suddenly it became so much more to her. She had Crypto to fight by her side and she would protect him, no matter the cost.

Crypto broke their kiss and looked down at her with pleasure. He swayed her golden bangs to the side and kissed her on her forehead. She smiled widely as he stayed there for longer than a second. He began to spoon her and fell back asleep. Wattson held his arms tightly as they stayed wrapped around her chest. She nuzzled deeply into his strong arms.

"Je t'aime." She whispered as she shifted her body weight to lay back against his.

Wattson didn't sleep much that night. Despite having her love by her side she couldn't stop thinking about what would happen when they started the games up again.

Natalie didn't consider herself to be a person who woke up early everyday, but she left Crypto in his bed alone as she decided to walk out into the kitchen with just her nightgown and some fluffy socks to make herself some coffee. She made herself some toast as well as coating some butter on top. She immediately put it in her mouth as she walked over to the bar. She plopped down on one of the black stools that contrasted the marble white top counters in front of her.
