POV: Tam Song

I was sprawled out on the grass in the shadow of a nearby willow while my sister paced back and forth anxiously.  The threat of war seemed to have stressed her out- more than I thought it ought to have.  Perhaps it was my tendency toward pessimism but I sort of thought we were already in a war so... no big whoop, right?

"Lihn, you might as well relax.  The damage has been done."  I said reasonably.  "We were already fighting, this just makes it a little more... official?  I don't know the right word for it, but aren't you glad it's them taking a hit for once?"

Lihn sighed.  "I'm not upset about them losing a few supplies, Tam.  I'm worried about what that means for the world."

I rolled my eyes.  "The world was set aflame long before we torched that hideout, sis.  Chill."  I stood in one fluid motion and crept up behind her.  "Besides," I said next to her ear.  Lihn jumped a foot in the air and glared at me.  "It's not the world you should be worried about- it's Sophie."

Lihn looked confused and shook her head at me.  "Sophie's fine, she's the one that-"

"Yeah, yeah," I interrupted.  "Not physically injured, no burns, no bruises, no scrapes- got it.  My point is, we haven't heard from her in... what, a week?  Not a good sign."

"You think?" Lihn replied, biting her lip.

"I know," I said matter-of-factly.  "You should hail Keefe and let him know Sophie needs a talkin to."

Lihn started nodding, then stopped suddenly and through a blast of water at me.

I pushed wet bangs out of my eyes and raised a brow.  She smiled sweetly and I scowled.  "Just hail the boy," I yelled, stalking toward the house.

          "Why don't you hail him?"

I threw back my head and laughed.  "He won't answer me!"

"Then use my Imparter."  Lihn suggested.

"Hell, no."  I scoffed.  "Listen, Lihn."  I gave her a serious look.  "The second he realizes it's me he'll either hang up or go on some long spill starting with 'Bang's Boy' and ending in 'The Foster's Fan Club is closed to new members-' as if I care."

My evil twin grinned.  "I know- enjoy."  She threw her Imparter at me and waltzed inside without so much as a backward glance to see if I caught the cursed device.

I shook my head at her retreating figure.  She's such a pain.

"Hail Keefe," I grumbled.  ERROR appeared in bright red script and I scrunched my brows.  "Hail Keefe," I tried again, annunciating every syllable and meeting the same results.
