After a few more moments in our blissful embrace, we let each other go, and walked downstairs, just talking about normal things.
Before we walked outside though, Niall stepped in front of the door, blocking me from getting to the outside.
“So uh…”
“Let’s talk about it later, Louis is starting to look impatient,” I said, pointing outside.
Niall nodded. “Sounds like a plan,” he agreed. We walked outside. Niall signed some quick autographs, and even I signed a few autographs, which, I’m not going to lie, was really cool.
By that point, it was well into the afternoon. We were only allowed to have a quick lunch, Niall and I didn’t say much to the other guys, but we did talk to each other. The other guys started to tease us a bit with the classic “love bird” jokes. Niall and I only laughed, they had no idea.
We were then driven to the venue for tonight, the Tampa Times Forum, where we had last minute rehearsals. Everything was starting to feel very real, which was good and bad.
“People are gonna start coming soon,” Paul said to all of us, he was looking at a clipboard.
We all nodded. After a few more directions One Direction and I went outside. I watched as they kicked around a “football”.
“It’s a soccer ball,” I told them, leaning against the side of the building.
“In the UK, and pretty much everywhere else, it’s a football,” Harry said, as he gave the ball a swift kick to Zayn.
“Yeah, but we’re in America,” I informed them.
Louis laughed, “Thanks for the heads up, love. I don’t know what we’d do without you.” Zayn passed the ball to Louis who passed it to Liam.
“You’re very welcome,” I said with a nod.
I watched them pass the ball around for another few minutes before I started to lose interest. I sat on the cool and inviting concrete, taking my phone out of my pocket.
I had few new text messages to reply to. One was from Izzy who was simply wishing me good luck for tonight, she heard me on the radio, and so on and so forth.
The others were from a few friends that I had back in Miami. The last text message I looked at was from Wesley, or Wes, Stromberg.
I just wanted to say hi and have fun tonight. When you come to LA give us a text or somethin, maybe we can meet up
I smiled a bit at his text message, and quickly responded, telling him we would definitely have to hang out once we got to LA. I was now even more excited for LA, now not only were we going to be preforming in the Staples Center for four nights, but I’d get to see my boys. Well, my other boys.
I spent the rest of our free time on Twitter. And much too soon, we were called back in; it was time to start getting dressed for the concert. The guys had more time than I did, since I would be going on first.
Everything suddenly became very rushed. In my dressing room, I was pretty much thrown into my outfit, which had been custom made for me, which was another plus to this whole on tour thing.
They started doing my hair and makeup immediately after I was dressed.
I heard the boys’ stylist freaking out because they were sweaty from their physical activity in the scalding sun. I laughed a bit to myself, I’m sure they loved that.
Everything else was pretty much a blur. After just seconds it seemed like I was pushed out on stage. It was everything I had hoped it would be and more. It was different then singing to the audience during X Factor, I actually enjoyed it more. There also weren’t any celebrity judges I had to please either. It was, without comparison, one of the best experiences of my life.
