"Is everything alright with you and Lupin?"

Lenna had asked bluntly for the hundredth time that week, seeing as the past couple of days had been torture for everyone, to say the least.

It seemed that something was definitely wrong between Rosemary and Remus since their kiss, but nobody, besides the other Marauders of course, could figure out why. They had avoided each others gaze at any chance they could get, too focused on drifting their attention towards anything else they could think of, as long as it wasn't each other. Even the occasional glimpse across the halls left a fluttering feeling in their stomachs, reminding them of that night all over again.

The other girls had also noticed overtime that whenever they found themselves in the same room as each other, Rosie and Remus would try very hard to make up excuses to leave, no matter how ridiculous. In fact, it had gotten so awkward, even the professors had noticed how unnatural the Marauders dynamic had turned.

It was the next Saturday afternoon, and the girls had decided to collectively escort Marlene to the Quidditch Pitch, ready for the first Quidditch game of the season. Excitement for the game was coursing through their veins all week, well, except for Rosie, since she was instructed by Madame Pomfrey to sit this one out due to her injury. Nonetheless, the girls were ready to support their friends in the stands, wearing Scarlet and Gold in solidarity for their Hogwarts House.

Marleen, who was wearing her Gryffindor Seeker uniform proudly, had jumped into the conversation, her curiosity getting the best of her.

"Honestly, why haven't you spoken as much as you used to?" She said while simultaneously trying to stuff her fingers through her very old and worn out leather gloves.

"Now that you mention it, I've noticed that too." Alice spoke up shyly.

A gust of cold wind had surrounded the girls, forcing Alice to gently tie her Gryffindor scarf around her neck while Rosemary found it necessary to to nuzzle her face into Lily's shoulder, fighting the cold autumn breeze that had now taken over the highlands of Scotland this time of year.

"For the last time, everything is perfectly normal between Remus and I. You don't need to keep asking about it." Rosie attempted to explain casually, though a glare coming from Lenna had made Rosie realize she couldn't keep hiding from the truth forever.

"Really, it's perfectly fine." Rosie insisted once again with emphasis, trying to sound as convincible as she could, to no avail.

"Well, it's very... strange." Lily replied, worried about the entire situation herself, perking an eyebrow suspiciously.

Although Lily never knew about the midnight kiss that Remus and Rosemary had shared last Monday evening, she knew of Remus' romantic feelings that were starting to develop for Rosie, and it gutted her to realize they had stopped speaking altogether.

As much as she wanted to make it seem like she wasn't, Lily was a hopeless romantic in hiding. She constantly observed others romantic habits, however, when it came down to her own, well, let's just say she was better at figuring out spells and incantations than her own feelings...

"The only thing that's strange around here is you, Evan's..." Rosie teased with a grin, changing subject while poking Lily's cheek, where the ginger girl currently had Scarlet paint covering every inch of her skin.
