Later that afternoon, Rosemary had quickly entered her dorm room, walking past a sleeping Lenna Sow in her bed chuckling to herself at the frizzy haired girl sprawled across the sheets.
"Don't you have your own bed?" She called out to the girl amusingly, waiting a couple of seconds before hearing a groggy voice mumble in her sheets.
"Yours is much comfier, though." She muttered quietly moving in the bed as Rosemary shook her head at her friend, letting Lenna relax for just a bit longer before walking towards their private shower to wash the sweat from Quidditch tryouts out of her hair.
After walking out into her room freshly clean and smelling of her favorite juniper berries shampoo, she thought it would be funny if she would wake up a still sleeping Lenna cuddled up in her bed. Walking over to the girl, Rosemary took a fist full of her dampened hair and squeezed it tightly, drips of water slowly trickling onto Sow's face. Being a light sleeper, she jolted up trying to wipe her now wet cheeks with Rosemary's pillow.
"Rose! A simple wake up would have worked just fine." She said glaring at the giggling girl trying to look angry at her and being unsuccessful.
"It's just a little water, Lenna. It's completely harmless." She cooed, taking a hold of her sheets and pulling them off the girl. She got up out of bed and tried to walk around Rosemary pretending to ignore her. In return, Rosemary had grabbed her wrist and gave her friend a tight hug.
"Nice to see you too." Lenna grumbled in her shoulder, still wrapping her arms around the girl tightly. Rosemary pulled away and looked at her friend sympathetically.
"You're right. I'm sorry I hadn't said hello to you yet. I've just been very busy and well... you're always sleeping." She joked looking at the girl who had quickly warmed up to her friend since third year.
"Well, you're not wrong." Lenna quipped, walking over to her own bed finally and sitting down waiting for her to speak up.
"Well.." she dragged out, waiting for Rosemary to join her sitting on the bed.
"How was your summer?" She asked happily, and for once Rosemary hadn't had much to say to her dorm roommate.
"Don't speak all at once." She added making Rosemary smile, contemplating on whether or not she should tell her friend how much of an anxious ridden summer she actually had.
You see, Lenna was a quiet girl, and just like Rosemary, enjoyed her alone time when she was little. However, in her first couple of years at Hogwarts, she hadn't been so lucky as Rosemary in making close friends right away. It's not that people didn't want to be her friend, it's just Lenna had actually never spoken any words to anybody until her third year at Hogwarts. She was extremely timid, scared to approach anybody. For years, Rosemary felt pity for the girl, trying and failing constantly to get her to speak to her when they would be alone in their room, even if it was just one word. But Lenna never budged.
Lenna was extremely smart, coming from a family of pure-blood Noble-House members in the Wizengamot council, most of her family having worked for the Department of Magical Law Enforcement for generations. When she would be in her dorm, her nose would be glued to all of her school textbooks, even some textbooks that were from older years. Little did Rosemary know, Lenna secretly enjoyed her company, despite never speaking a word to her. How Lenna was placed in Gryffindor instead of Ravenclaw, Rosemary had no clue.
Until one day in third year, Rosemary had finally understood where her secret bravery was hiding all along. After the Sterling incident, Rosemary had to keep an extra watch for the pathetic boy trying to corner her at any chance he'd get. It was merely hours after thirteen year old Rosemary received a Bludger to the skull, almost cracking her head open with blood still trailing down the side of her temple when she had been told by Headmaster Dumbledore himself that she needed to rest for a couple of days in the Hospital Wing while Madame Pomfrey tended to her wounds.
