Luna let out a sad, quiet sigh as she saw Harry and Ginny greet each other. The two broke up, for her safety, and they acted like they were still together.
No, Luna wasn't bitter she was single. She wasn't upset Harry had all of Ginny's attention. No, Luna was slightly, only slightly mind you, jealous of them.
The blonde had had a little crush on Ginny ever since their second year. But, unlike what she expected, the feelings didn't pass. Instead, they grew and day by day, Luna fell in love with her favorite redhead.
But of course, Ginny was hopelessly in love with Harry. Luna internally shook her head and turned her attention to what Harry was saying.
"Well," She said after he finished. "There's Ravenclaw's lost diadem. No? Haven't you heard of it? It's really famous."
She had obviously heard Ronald's rude comment about her. She just ignored it. She was used to it after all. "You shouldn't have to be." Ginny had said, all those years ago.
"I'll go with you." Cho Chang had piped up by the time Luna zoned back in. Ginny glared.
"No!" She said, before turning to Luna with a sweet voice. "Luna will go with him, won't you Luna?"
Luna nodded. While she knew Ginny was jealous of Cho, her heart soared at the fact that Ginny trusted her this much. This was no laughing matter. It could potentially get them one step closer to defeating You-Know-Who. No one would trust a person who spoke of weird creatures and was known for being a loon for something as important as this. Even if they were best friends.
But Ginny did. She trusted Luna to the point she was willing to let her help in a main part of defeating You-Know-Who. And so, her heart skipping, Luna walked out, Harry behind her.
