Authors note:
This chapter/headcanon is a Harry/Hermione one. I saw the idea on google and decided to write my own version.

James Sirius Potter's First Year.

"I'll miss you, James." Hermione said as she hugged her son. The eleven year old boy nodded.

"I'll miss you too." He agreed. He turned to his father. "I'll miss you as well, Dad."

"I'll miss you too, Jamsie." Harry said with a soft smile. The two hugged each other and James said goodbye to his siblings; Lily and Albus.

He was sitting in a compartment when a girl came in. "Hi," She said shyly. "Can I sit here?" James nodded.

The girl had beautiful red hair and kind hazel eyes that reminded James of his mother's. "I'm Rosemarie Marigold." She said.

"James Potter." He replied. Rosemarie pointed towards his glasses and took out her wand.

"Your glasses are broken." She pointed out and pointed her wand. "Oculus Reparo." She murmured.

"Thank you," James said gratefully. "I must've broken them when entering the train."

Rosemarie chuckled and kept her wand back in. "It's alright."

Harry and Hermione were both watching this exchange from the window. While they couldn't hear anything, they could see the scene clearly. "Doesn't it remind you of us?" Harry asked. Hermione nodded.

"Yes, yes it does."

James Sirius Potter's Second Year.

James and his family were out shopping in Diagon Alley for his second year. While his parents and siblings were out getting ice cream, James insisted on staying and looking at the new brooms.

He tripped and got up again, only to see his friend- and crush- Rosemarie smiling at him. "You've broken your glasses again James."

"Oculus Reparo." And the glasses were new again. James muttered a quiet thanks to her. The two didn't notice Harry and Hermione watching them with reminiscing smiles.

James Sirius Potter's Third Year

"Oculus Reparo." Rosemarie chanted and James' glasses weren't broken anymore. "You should remember the spell by now, James."

The boy only grinned goofily. "Of course he remembers." Hermione said to Harry. "He just wants her attention."

"Just like his father then." Harry said absent-mindedly. Hermione turned to him.

"What?" She practically demanded. Harry turned away with a goofy grin.

Like Father, Like Son.
