We're in a little bit of a bind right now. Nala is not a happy baby right now and I'm just confused
"Ok ok use your words or sort of words. What's wrong" I ask trying to get her to calm down and she just continues to scream
"I think she's cranky but we've tried putting her down like three times" Victoria says
"Are you tired" I ask and she just stops screaming as much and nods her head
"Ok so why don't you go to sleep" Victoria asks tryna to understand where she's coming from
"I can't" she says crying again and I'm not about to deal with this all night. I pick her up and find my keys
"Where are you going" she asks
"I was just going to drive around until she got tired. My truck has like those star lights on the ceiling and the mood lights. So I was finna hit her with some mood music and she was gon go to sleep" I say
"Alright come on" she says and I don't worry about getting her shoes on because hopefully when we come back she'll be going to bed. I make sure the house is locked up before she helps me put her in the car seat. I get in the car and I turn on all the special features to try and get her to fall asleep
"Look at the stars" she says marveling at them as they appear on my ceiling. I dim the lights and set them to a cool blue to relax her mind. I don't have any like soft music on my phone so I just go under the mood category on Apple Music. It's soft music and I know it's putting me to sleep so I know it better be working on her
"What time is the game tomorrow" she asks me
"Uh we play at 3:30 and then her parents will be here tomorrow to pick her up by the end of the game" I say
"So you'll be going to sleep after" she says and you're damn skippy
"I think she's sleep" I say looking back once we get to a light
"Great now let's get some sleep" she says as I head back in the direction of my house. Soon we're back and Victoria grabs Nala and we walk back into the house. I follow her upstairs and we put her down and make sure she's comfortable. I leave the door cracked as we head to my room
"Having a child is exhausting" I groan falling face first on the bed
"Yeah and she's three imagine a baby" she says coming out of the bathroom
"Like oh my God I thought she would just be sleepy. It's the end of the day and you been running around all day. How you still have energy" I ask fascinated because if I ran around all day and I see the bed, it's KO time
"Yeah but you've been doing good" she says giving me a kiss when she joins me in the bed
"Thank you" I say getting comfortable to get ready for bed
"Alright I'll see y'all after the game" I say coming down dressed for the game
