We just landed in Atlanta and they had a car sent for us. It's only my bestie, Tommy, and I that were able to come. The others we're working or previous commitments so they couldn't make it. Kyle didn't get selected for any event but he still is supporting his best friend as she makes her all star weekend debut. We got here a day before the action starts because she has media days, practice, and she is working on some of her dunks
"You want to go to the hotel and get settled maybe change then go eat? Or do you want to just play it by ear because I could go for a nap" she says and I'm like that's why you wanna go to the hotel. Not because you worried about what I'm doing
"I'm not hungry what about you guys" I ask our friends
"Nah I ate before" Tommy says and I'm not surprised he always eating, fat ass
"Yeah same" my bestie says
"We can meet up with Kuz and Micheala for dinner too if you wanna do that" she suggests
"Yeah I'll text her because y'all are so bad at planning it stresses me out" I say
"We need to go to Lennox mall before we leave" Tommy says
"Oh for sure they have all the designer stores" Ariana says
"More importantly that big ass Nike store" she says as we pull to the hotel and they have someone come and get our bags as we go to check in. The NBA set up suites for everyone so luckily it worked out so we don't have to get another room
"Y/N yes here's your keys and enjoy your stay" the manager says and she thanks him and we only get two keys but we can share them. Most of the time it'll be just us three together anyways or we'll end the night together. When we get to the room the bellhops are leaving and she grabs our bags and puts them in the bedroom
"Y'all sure y'all don't want me to get another room. I don't want y'all to have to share a bed" she says and she's so considerate of them because most would be like y'all lucky to be here
"Bestie it's fine we've shared a bed before. He's like my brother" she says assuring her that it's not necessary to get another room
"Ok I'm going to take a nap then I have some media day stuff to do. Then practice so we can go eat dinner with everyone later or y'all wanna do something else" she asks
"No that sounds like a plan because I could use a Nap" Tommy says and these sleepy ass kids we got with us
"We could go shopping while she's at practice" Ari says and we start talking about all the stores we could go to
"Babe" she exclaims and I'm like I'm coming to give you your head rub
"Ok we'll text" I say walking into our room and she's already in the bed on her phone
"There's a shirt for you" she says pointing to the bed and she got me one of her shirts already. I grab the shirt and go change just to come back to her fighting her sleep. I put my clothes in my suitcase and make sure we got some freezing air because we sleep on polar bear. As soon as I climb into the bed she pulls me to her and I make sure she's comfortable. I start giving her a head rub and these damn head rubs has become her favorite thing. If she has a bad game which isn't even a bad game she just has high expectations for herself. She'll want a head rub or anything negative happens to her she is in my phone asking for a head rub. I grab my phone and she can take about an hour and a half nap before she needs to get ready for the day. I go on social media and check a few work emails. Luckily I was able to come the entire weekend because she's so excited about this. She's like a little kid living her dream and I'm so glad I get to be here with her to experience it
