The next day, Peter had told Aunt May that we were going to the cinema together. We weren't actually going to do that of course, but we didn't want to concern her. We took the bus to the bus stop closest to The Avengers compound. Peter knew exactly where it was of course, but I have to say, I probably couldn't tell you the way, even if I wanted to...
When we arrived at the compound, Peter and I went inside. First the one and only mister Anthony Edward Stark walked up to us. He greeted my brother and told us he was very excited to meet me. He asked me and Peter to follow him. We walked into a big room. It kinda looked like a conference room, but it had a bunch of comfy sofas and chairs.
Mister Stark told us to take a seat. He told us S.H.I.E.L.D had been keeping tabs on us,(especially me) for some time. And they had found out that we might just possess the required skill set for a mission abroad. During the conversation, we got to know each other quite well. He told us some more details about the mission, such as that it would take place in Germany, and that we were supposed to find out more about the history of Hydra there. He also told us that we would have to learn some of the German language, but he thought that given our relatively high IQ's that wouldn't be a problem.
Peter and I discussed of we would accept the mission or not. It would be my first mission of course! And Peter had never been abroad for a mission either. It would be something new for both of us.
Eventually, we agreed to accept the mission. But we did have to find a way to learn German... When we talked about it to Mr Stark, he seemed happy that we accepted the mission. After we had yet ANOTHER talk, he introduced me to the other avengers who were currently training at the compound. I met Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America. And also Natasha Romanoff, Known as Black Widow. They were really nice to me, and I enjoyed meeting them.
Then Peter's phone rang. We froze In shock. What if Aunt May had found out we weren't actually at the cinema? We said goodbye to everyone and headed home as fast as we could.
