We arrived at the airport in Berlin. Mr Fury, from S.H.I.E.L.D, had booked us a hotel, to make it seem even more like we were just tourists. We went to the hotel to sleep for the night. We were all quite jet-lagged, because of the time difference.
The following day, we went sightseeing. We walked past the Brandenburger Tor and the remains of the berlin wall. It wasn't the most exciting thing ever but it was a good distraction. We stayed there the whole afternoon and in the evening we went back to the hotel and ate in the restaurant that was part of it.
On day 2 of our mission, we went to investigate the Hydra base. We had rented a car at the hotel and drove out to the destination.
At least it looked empty from the outside, let's hope it would be abandoned inside too. We drove around for a little while, just to observe the surroundings. Then we decided to go inside since that was the main part of the mission.
we all split up. I would search the east side of the building and Peter would do the west side. Ms Belova would check the middle. We promised to stay on comms so we would know if any of us found something.
I walked around in the east wing for a little while. There was nothing weird or unusual around here. Just what you'd expect, like old machines and computers.
Peter hadn't found anything either, so ms Belova told him to go back to the hotel and we would follow up as soon as we were done here.
Ms Belova came to the east wing. She then started telling me all about the urban legend of the winter soldiers. Soldiers with enhanced abilities. People like captain America, only the winter soldiers were killing machines. The were brainwashed and then programmed into super-asassins.
Ms Belova seemed to know a lot about them wich made me kinda uncomfortable. Especially since there was't any proof that they ever existed...
Wich also meant there wasn't any proof of them dying.
I turned around and saw that it was no longer just me and ms Belova in the room. There was now also a tall man with shoulder-length brown hair. He looked quite scary. I wondered if peter was already back at the hotel. If so, that would mean he was probably safe. I started to panic, but then i remembered ms Belova worked for S.H.I.E.L.D, so she probably would have had some training.
However, she did not at all look scared! Even weirder, I think she was smiling! All of my senses started getting alarmed. I remember Peter saying this was part of his powers, but it certainly didn't feel like a superpower. It felt more like super anxiety attack...
Then the tall man started talking. He had a weirdly calming voice.
