"Are you okay, Ash?" His mother asked, rushing over to feel his forehead when he came downstairs.
"I'm fine, mother." He gently moved her hand away, rolling his eyes at her babying him.
"You look like you've just seen a ghost!" His mother kept fussing, running her fingers through his hair to flatten it.
"I'm fine." He sighed. "I promise. It was just a long night."
"I told you not to be on that phone talking all night!" His mother bristled angrily.
He figured it was better she was mad about this instead of their adventures into Fazbear's Fright. Lance was now at the doorway, an eyebrow raised questionably. Ash ignored him, pushing past into the living room. Lance grabbed his arm, spinning Ash to face him, his eyes full of worry.
"What's wrong? You've been having these nightmares every night."
"They're just dreams.. Nightmares." Ash murmured quietly.
"About?" Lance prompted him to say more.
"I don't know what happened in that restaurant.. But.. Something bad happened. I can't explain it." Ash looked away, expecting his brother to laugh in his face about how ridiculous he was being.
"I.. I saw something the last night we were there." Lance confessed. "It was a locked drawer in the security desk. It could contain some clues to what's happened."
"We have to go back then." Ash felt it was his duty to get to the bottom of what had happened in the past. He now felt responsible for the children he heard in his dreams.

"Help me pry this thing open." Lance grunted, attempting to rip the drawer from its place.
Katie was keeping watch down the hall, ensuring that no one would come searching for them. She looked bored with her position, occasionally glancing at the time on her phone. Sabrina was helping pull the drawer from it's position.
"Whoever put a lock in this DID NOT want us to snoop around in here." Sabrina commented, grunting with the effort.
"Are you nerds done yet?" Katie called impatiently. "This is pointless."
Ash resisted the urge to snap at her, while he helped pull at the locked door. Finally, he heard a soft click as the drawer gave way and it rolled open. A small stack of newspaper clippings were strewn about inside. He carefully filed through them, giving they were fragile, old and grimy.
Opening.
Opening.
Owner.
He finally found something that interested him. He removed it from the pile and blew the dust off it.
"Murders at Freddy Fazbear's."
"Four children have gone missing after their visit to the famed Freddy Fazbear's Pizza parlor. The restaurant will not release any comments on the matter as of now. Police say that blood has been discovered in the floor backstage, and it is unlikely the children have survived although no bodies have been uncovered. 'At this point in the investigation, we have no leads as to who could have done this.' One of the officers who first appeared on the scene comments grimly. The restaurant is now in trouble..."
He stopped reading and let his eyes fall to the floor. Murder? He felt his thoughts swim in his head.
"What is it?" Sabrina asked, concern filling her eyes as Ash swayed dangerously.
Lance snatched the clipping away from him and scanned over it, ready to discover the horror for himself. Katie had rushed over and helped Sabrina steady Ash, who was still dizzy.
"Oh my god.." Lance slapped a hand over his mouth in shock. "Who could have done that?"
"Done what?" Sabrina and Katie then took their turns at reading the small article and he could see tears spring to Sabrina's eyes.
"They must have been so scared." She frowned, wiping the stray tears that rolled down her cheeks that were now unusually pale.
"Someone should have saved them." Katie's voice shook with fury. "Where were their parents!?"
"They couldn't save them." Ash mumbled, the room beginning to spin. "No one could." He only remembered falling forward before he blacked out.
