Melany stirred awake, feeling arms wrapped around her waist. She smiled softly to herself, starting to remember their night. She looked up at him, seeing him still asleep. His lips were slightly parted and his face was relaxed. He looked so peaceful. She laid her head back down on his chest and ran her fingers along his torso. She could hear his heartbeat in his chest. It was steady, calm. She wanted them to stay like this, in her bed, relaxed.

The moment was easily cut short when she heard a knock at her door. She sighed, slowly pulling away from him and out of the covers. She slipped on some shorts and walked to her door. She looked back, seeing that he had rolled over, unconsciously reaching out for her still in his slumber.

She bit her lip, smiling before opening the door. Nat stood on the other side, a smirk on her face.
"Good morning," Nat muttered, walking into her room.

"Hi?" Melany said, her eyes following Nat as she walked in. "What's up?" She softly closed her door.

"Just wanted to check-in." She noticed Bucky laying on his stomach in her bed, the metal arm stretched out. She also noticed that she was wearing Bucky's shirt again. Nat chuckled, crossing her arms. "You really have a thing for super soldiers, huh?"

Melany giggled, trying to keep quiet. She looked over at Bucky as she tried to contain her smile. "I guess I do." Nat looked over at Melany who was still staring at the man in her bed.

Nat grabbed her wrist, snapping her out of her intense staring. "Let's get some coffee, I've missed you." Nat pulled her out of her room, leading her downstairs.

"Is everything okay?" Melany asked as they walked down the stairs.

"Yes." Nat looked over at her with a smile. "I can't miss my best friend?" Nat asked, playfully jabbing her side.

Melany laughed. "Of course you can." She looked back over at Nat. "But seriously, is there something wrong?"

"I wanted you to see someone," Nat said as they neared the kitchen.

Wanda sat at the island with a cup of coffee in her hand. She'd been in Europe for the last year with Vision, and she wasn't sure when she'd get back.

"Wanda!" Melany yelled as she ran toward her.

"Mel!" Wanda carefully set down her mug, wrapping her arms around her. "Oh my God, I missed you so much!" Wanda squeezed Melany tight before letting go.

"How've you been?" Melany asked, sitting down next to her, Nat quickly joined them.

"Good. Europe was amazing." She smiled, grabbing Melany's hands. "How've you been? Nat said you've had some guy stuff going on." Wanda flashed her a wink and a smile.

"Oh, God, yeah. It's been kind of a mess, I'm surprised Nat didn't tell you already." Melany giggled as she looked toward the stairs. Steve was walking down them.

He smiled as he saw Wanda. He noticed Melany was already up. He smiled wider as he walked over. "Hey, Wanda." He grinned at her, giving her a hug. "When'd you get in?"

"This morning." Wanda smiled back at him. "I know you guys leave for a mission today, but I wanted to see everyone before you guys left." She explained, taking a sip of her coffee.

"Well, we're glad your back." He smiled, looking over at Melany for a brief second. She was too focused on her phone at the moment to realize he was looking at her. Steve kept having to remind himself that he wanted her to be happy, but it was eating at him that he might have to settle with Sharon. He had to convince himself that she was happy with Bucky, and he didn't want to ruin that for his best friend. "Melany is going to be staying here while the rest of us are gone if you need anything. Should only be a few days." Steve explained, putting his hand on Melany's shoulder.
