Cole was in the middle of what he thought to be a gateway to a new life. He had come to the Village with dreams of safety away from his cruel foster parents and all others that shunned him. Now he found himself in a Castle with what he saw as a sort of twisted family giving him something he hadn't felt in a while: Care.
Next thing Cole knew once the meeting of the four lords had concluded, Alcina was carrying him in her arms to somewhere else in the Castle. Cole felt perplexed by how these people treated him, it was as if they expected him to eventually come to the Castle one day regardless of why.
He then found himself in what looked to be Alcina's bedroom, which was quite a sight. It was beautifully designed down to the slightest detail and was a place Cole seemed to enjoy every second he was in.
"Oh, I'm sorry for how scared you may be, love, I'll just put you in a chair." Alcina offered to Cole by two chairs by a fireplace. He suddenly felt his heart almost leap out of his chest. Being called "love" in such a kind way by a woman who looked this beautiful certainly had an effect on Cole. Cole nervously responded, "oh, o-of course."
"Darling, do you know why you're here?" She asked. Cole silently shook your head and Alcina spoke again. "You were brought here because my brother noticed the birthmark of a flower on your wrist, It means we are meant to be soulmates, just as Mother Miranda prophesied." Cole's lips slowly formed into a slight smile, his heart beating like never before. This was what his mark meant? His maker's plan for him?
"I understand the pain you've gone through, I don't expect you to agree with your future, but I promise you -" Alcina stopped midway as Cole threw himself into her, wrapping his arms around tightly around his new soulmate never feeling more at home in his life. Happy that her new partner had at last found his place, she wrapped her arms around Cole in turn. Alcina then picks Cole up and caresses his face with her gloved hand and plants her lips to his, and with that, they had both embraced each other.
Little did Cole know, there were loose ends that may needed tying.
