25. Attack

Nat was suspicious about the terrorist attack that happened in your school a month back, so she asked Tony to investigate it. As it turns out, it was related to Hydra. Hydra hired the group to check if you were in that school.

If you had followed the school's orders and entered the hall, you may have been identified and things could have turned out differently.

"We got from the police that they met in the countryside, and it is possible they're still there." Tony said in a group meeting.

"So, what's the plan?" Steve asked Tony.

"This is tricky, there are 2 identical buildings separated by a bridge. There is no way of identifying which building unless you are there on your feet. We have no idea which one they are using." Tony showed them the aerial view of the buildings.

"They could be using both." Wanda suggested.

"Could be." Tony pointed at Wanda.

"Do you not know anything else?" Nat wanted more information.

"We know that they get their supplies once a week." Tony showed them a bunch of trucks driving to both buildings.

"So, we are using the trucks to get in." You figured out where this conversation was headed.

Tony snapped his finger into a gun form and pointed at you. "Bingo."

The team waited for the workers to load their supplies into the truck and drive away before ambushing them midway. The drivers and workers were clueless as to what's happening and were quick to submit.

You were split into two teams. You, Nat and Wanda. Tony and Steve. Clint stood by the cliff as backup eliminating the stragglers around the perimeter, after all, no one can hear a bow and arrow, especially from a far.

Nat drove to the unloading point and several men were already there waiting. They approached the truck to check the goods, papers and documents, but Wanda knocked them out silently and you stuffed them in the back. You report your situation to Tony and Steve, and they have experienced the same situation.

"Seems like both buildings are being used." You told the team.

"We better head in quietly." Nat had more experience in espionage and began picking the lock. You guys proceeded to clear the room quietly to not raise suspicion. However, as more men disappeared from their radar, things started to be more hectic. Shots were heard and bullets were flying everywhere. You started out with your gun but changed to a knife. Using guns in such a narrow area is not the best idea.

Nat was standing in the front using whatever she could as cover while she tried to take out several guys with her gun. Wanda standing close behind her using her powers to take out as many people as possible.

You? Well. You were standing behind them as backup. With your knife you could hardly deal any damage from afar. What we didn't know was this building was full of hidden spaces and some guy wearing metal armour busted down one of the walls from the room and shoved you into the wall.

"Ughhh." You grunted as you felt yourself knocking against the wall. The force of the impact caused you to drop your knife. As you steady yourself, you see the guy running towards you and you immediately react by pulling out your gun from the holster.

You fired a few shots at him, but the bullets were not able to penetrate his armour. You shuffled back and hit your back against the wall, you were defenceless against him with nowhere else to go.. You raised your arm to protect your head, but you saw a red aura surrounding him and pulling him back.

"Are you alright?" Wanda pulled him away from you, but he was ready to attack again.

"Yeah." You replied to her.
