The months had passed by.

Long drawn out months.

I stayed with my parents for a few weeks while I rested, but was relieved when I returned to my own home.

Alex and I have been dating since I left the hospital, he was great he really was.

He brought me flowers every Sunday, called everyday to check on me. It was good. He was good in bed too... That junk sure was better than I expected.

Getting ready for my date. Slipped on my black v-neck dress and blood red heels. Ran my dark re lipstick along my lips as the doorbell rang. I walked slowly to the door, opening it to reveal my date.

Dressed in dark jeans, showing off his front and back junk... A white button down shirt, his brown hair fluffed like bed hair...as always, chocolate eyes glittering in the dim light of my hall.

"Hey gorgeous" he grinned.

"Hey" I smiled back.

"You ready to go?"

"Yeah, lemme grab my purse"

I strutted to his dark blue convertible, and slipped in carefully.

When he reached the restaurant, he opened my door for me. I stepped out and he slipped his hand around my waist.

As she seated us, the hostess checked out Alex's arse. Angry flared up inside me. We sat and discussed our day.

"I saved a seriously messed up patient today" Alex beamed.

"By the look on your face it was good?" I chuckled.

"Hell yeah!" He the excitement clear across his face.

"So c'mon stop keeping me in the dark! Tell meeeeee!" I begged.

"Well, this kid came in today, he was like 15 I think, he was literally a human pretzel!"

"Oh my God! How did that happen!?"

"He got crushed, his right knee smooshed up in his ribs and his arms caught in the middle of everything!"

"What the hell did you do?!"

"I had to break his leg and pull it out of his ribs"

"Oh shit! Is he okay?!"

"Well yeah, I was his doctor of course he is okay" he grinned smugly.

"If you say so" I winked.

"Oi you! I'm the best doctor you ever had!"

"What makes you think that?" I smirked.

"Well, you're not dead, and I you let me bang you every other night, purely because I'm sooooo hot" he grinned cheekily.

I laughed at his comment as the waitress placed our desserts in front of us. We lapsed into a comfortable silence as we ate.

Then I saw him.

Green eyes sparkling in the vague lights.

Dr Jackson Avery.
